Billy Gilmour

Gilmour is the latest young "next big thing" scottish player to be overhyped beyond all recognition.
He is a talented lad, but he absolutely needs to be playing regular football at a high level as soon as possible or he will fade into obscurity.

His transfer fee to Brighton was somewhere between £7 and £10 million with a wage to match on a 4 year contract so he is trapped.

As much chance of us signing Billy Gilmour as Leigh Griffiths has of scoring a hat trick for us in this seasons Scottish cup final… against Cove.

Full on hun, wouldn't even touch the green on the scarf of the club he moved to.

(Sure that's the story)

Brilliant that, in a ridiculous Hun behaviour kind of way.

Ironically, Billy Gilmour would probably be a better player for Celtc than Rangers…

Not always. There’s plenty Jambos I wouldn’t describe as a Hun, and a few I would…
Aye, point taken. I know a few jambos who hate being associated with them, in kinda the same way I hate being associated with the Smellies.

To be fair, I’ll not touch anything maroon.

I don’t think it makes me a bad person.

Neither will I! I’ve played footbal and rugby for teams in maroon (or claret) and always wore an under top so the maroon wasn’t touching me 😂

Aye that’s how I see it. I’d hate to be associated with Celtc!

Every rugby team i ever played for played in maroon starting in primary school so it was no kryptonite to me.

Me too but I still refused to let that filthy colour touch me! The “joys” of growing up in Gala eh

I know a few gunts who hate being associated with them too, so I mention it even more😜
I also know a few who revel in royalty, union jacks, and all that King Billy pish.

You lot are lucky you just had to avoid maroon clothing.
My wife went to test drive a new(er) car for us one time while I was at work. She phoned me up saying the car was exactly what we wanted but wanted to make sure I was happy with the colour she called Canyon Red. I told her to go ahead and buy it as it was a BMW 5series diesel estate and they were rarer than hen’s teeth at the time.
I got home that evening to find Canyon Red is FUCKING MAROON🤯 To make matters worse, the neighbours across from me are Gunts.
It was like the sammy snake scene in Phoenix Nights, with me going “We’re not having that.”

I was once gifted a car once . The kids were young , my wife was a housewife , money was pretty tight . A very good friend gave me his vw Passat as he was getting a company car . The car was very well looked after , big and went like a dream . It was equivalent to a 3 grand freebie . I was very thankful.
But it was maroon 😳. I hated for the next couple of years every time I had to drive it . Was a peach of a car too, but I secretly hoped it was catch fire one day😁. Never a missed a beat though .

Maroon was always the Gala colour. I never gave Hearts a thought.
Maroon and sky blue hoops at Primary
Maroon and white hoops at High school
Maroon and white hoops at adult
I had a Gala season ticket when they won the Scottish League 3 times in 4 seasons between 1980 and 1983.
A great team at the tail end of the amateur era.

Used to have to wear maroon when playing school rugby.

Also colour blind so have bought all sorts of clothes without realising that they are maroon until its pointed out to me - and if it is I only wear outside Scotland lest anyone thinks Im one of them

Used to wear Hibs stuff under the Hearts strip when I was there as a schoolboy.

Felt so cool being the rebel
Pretty sure it contributed to me getting let go 😅

The main difference is that green is such a lovely natural colour. Maroon is what colour the water went when you were cleaning your paintbrushes as a kid.

One is everywhere, the other isn't and is only worn willingly by freaks, paedos and fuckwits.
