She has to be the thickest *&*^ to ever hold that office.A buffoon replaced by an idiot. It simply goes from bad worse.
Strictly speaking the PM is appointed by the Queen, although she basically accepts the view of the ruling party.I’m surprised the rules allow for party members to vote for a new prime mincer rather than the electorate.
I know the public are voting for local representation at each general election, but some part of that decision is based on who they want to be prime minister and the local vote can reflect that preference.
Why is such a crucial leadership contest confined to a narrow group of people with narrow political and social interests? What’s to stop the party maliciously electing a complete despot hell bent on destroying the country?
I’m pretty clueless on the minutiae of parliamentary processes like this so happy to be informed.
I think you'd be surprised how many folk putting their x on the ballot paper do so because of the respective party leaders.I’m surprised the rules allow for party members to vote for a new prime mincer rather than the electorate.

They have. What’s to stop the party maliciously electing a complete despot hell bent on destroying the country?
Of course the Baldrick cunning plan is to let her fail miserably over the next few months, then have a Tory initiated vote of no confidence, whereupon they have another leadership election in which Bojo sweeps back into power.A woman so dim even moths aren't attracted to her. God help us.
She's a Poundshop Margaret Thatcher. She only got 57% of the vote.Out of 160000 who could vote she got a Wembley full.Ian Duncan Smith was more popular.I'd be surprised if she's still here in two years time.
Like her predecessor, she will be 'ushered' out when the shit hits.I wouldn't.
The drooling fuckwit probably won't be able to find the door out.
A buffoon replaced by an idiot. It simply goes from bad worse.
The summer of discontent really needs to ramp upThey have had it.
The tories time in office is coming to an end.

I’m sure she got the gig because of her charm, wit and intelligence. Seriously I think she got the gig for the same reason as Boris. Stupid cvnt that’ll take all the shite up front and if, I mean when, it goes tits up they will get another silly cvnt. I think this whole things been stage managed.Conservative party choose the white option. Who’d have guessed?
The fact that Sturgeon has basically said 'well done Lizz, welcome aboard' really boils ma piss.
Not me. She's got to work with whoever won.The fact that Sturgeon has basically said 'well done Lizz, welcome aboard' really boils ma piss.
Rwanda?Poisoned dwarf is away.
What I thought but nae such luck.Rwanda?
Humiliated in The Royal Nip?Poisoned dwarf is away.
Agree with you GM, I think she is so out of her depth that it’s just a matter of time before a no confidence vote is called, Chris Bryant ripped her to fucking shreds in a couple of select committee meetings earlier this year. PMQ s will be a blast.Truss won because she was the Johnson candidate, whereas Sunak was seen as a backstabber who helped bring down their hero.
Such is the cult status of Johnson amongst many tory members. The parliamentary party not so much since they were the ones that eventually realised he was now a vote loser and a liability to them so got rid. However their membership made up of white, middle class and middle aged and pensioners, have just done a big "feck you" to them and elected the female version of what has just gone before. So out of touch are these clowns with reality they think this is what the country needs and wants.
IMO Truss is out of her depth and won't last long.
This is what politics has become now...a cult worship thanks to the likes of Trump, Johnson etc.
To an extent we have the same up here with Sturgeon...nobody is really interested in politics, it's all personalities and easy soundbites for the masses. All this while ordinary working people in this country face what for me will be a bigger crisis than Covid.
She’ll just dae what Boris did, no answer any and spout ten pails of pish.Agree with you GM, I think she is so out of her depth that it’s just a matter of time before a no confidence vote is called, Chris Bryant ripped her to fucking shreds in a couple of select committee meetings earlier this year. PMQs would be a blast if the main opposition party had a leader worth his salt.Agree with you GM, I think she is so out of her depth that it’s just a matter of time before a no confidence vote is called, Chris Bryant ripped her to fucking shreds in a couple of select committee meetings earlier this year. PMQ s will be a blast.
Corbyn was stabbed in the back by the right wing.So if 49% of working class people rejected Corbyn the majority wanted him.
Will she understand any of the questions?Agree with you GM, I think she is so out of her depth that it’s just a matter of time before a no confidence vote is called, Chris Bryant ripped her to fucking shreds in a couple of select committee meetings earlier this year. PMQ s will be a blast.
Possibly, but it wont really matter. Will she understand any of the questions?
