Youan

Not sad about this in the slightest. Played when he could be arsed, and that wasn't very often.

Shite in the main imo

Tara Wage thief.
Surprise Surprise GIF

Made no secret of the fact I really liked him when he showed up. Exciting player to watch. Ashame how it's ended. Maybe more to this than we assume as another poster noted.

Seems to be a sincere goodbye and emphasises his gratitude towards the club.

A mercurial talent that never reached his full potential. All the best Elie you've been a pleasure to watch when you could be arsed.

Something definitely happened between him and Sir Dave.
No way back for him after whatever it is.

Told he was injured, Elie says he wasn't.
posting photos of him and LJ while at odds with Sir Dave.

Probably childish from the pair!

I can’t believe we turned down offers of £1.75k for him. Dreadful piece of business all round.

Lazy player with loads of ability.

Never been a fully tuned in player throughout his career and for that reason alone we should have sold him. I'm sure the club saw all the positives and gambled on further progress with a bigger bid coming in.

Gave us some great moments but happy he's now gone.

Hopefully the fans who slammed others for highlighting his flaws can be honest enough with themselves to recognise they were sucked in.

He wasn't a slow hoof merchant, he actually had speed and ability. Big traits Dave doesni fancy. Big huddies like Barlaser and Hanley can do no wrong though in that man's eyes.

Doesn't explain Boyles inclusion then.

They've upset each other somewhere and they've both thrown their toys out.
Elies job is to play, Dave's is to manage him.

Both failed each other.

I'd blame Youan more, if he didn't play well and get frozen out again from time to time.

No doubt Elie Youan is a talented lad, but it's his overall attitude that has let the club down and himself down for that matter.
My feeling is that if any player, no matter who it is, makes it clear either by word or action that he doesn't want to play for Hibs anymore, then get rid at the first opportunity.
Elie scored some great goals, but he was another one who for me played when he felt like it, and we cannot afford to have players like that in our squad any more.

Shame. A player who could genuinely turn a game. Still, I'll be glad not to hear pundits massacring his name on the TV and Radio any more. Used to feel like fingernails scraped down a blackboard

Boyles earned his place plus he's his mate. Even when Boyle has been toiling he's still started him for the most part. Never done the same with Youan. Not saying Youan isn't also to blame but it's not the first player Grays tossed to the side for nothing.

Does that make him a tosser?

For nothing? You know this how?

Youan was in decent form at Christmas time then we barely seen him again. I don't know for a categoric fact it was for nothing just seemed bizarre that players would be playing one week then they would be dropped for months with no news coming out as to why they were dropped.

May as well have signed a reincarnated Chic Charnley.
If the sentence, "There's a player in there" ever appears on a scouting report, sack the scout and somehow recommend the player to the Gunts... Or Airdrie.

A genius when up for it, otherwise a wage thief.
If he couldn't be arsed at training then no surprise he wasn't selected for game time.

Downed tools when he never got a move two and a half years ago.

Split the support big time. Remember folk getting called racists the lot when saying he should bolt and that he didnt give a shite while others said he was injured for about a year with an injured toenail.

How his time has ended at the club has shown its the player that has had the issue under numerous managers and demonstrated massively by SDG getting him to feck.

Saying that.....and this is the headfuck part..... he is not the type of player our bland (sorry) hoofball merchant, dinnae lose instead of go for the win head coach we have in charge.

Hopefully, if we are going into next season as SDG as manager we swap Youan with Lyndon Dykes, if you are going to play percentages ball then at least have the players to do it effectively.

A maverick who never played under the right manager IMO.

Had he had the right coach, he’d had torn this league up and made us millions. All the talent, just needed someone to harness it and manage his personality in the right way… unfortunately Hibs never really had that.

In an era of footballers being more like robots, I’d much rather see a Youan type, as in a player that can do something special and get you out of your seat.

Well, it's time to say goodbye after four years. I wanna say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything, Hibernian FC.
“It has been a special ride. I'll cherish the highs, learn from the lows, but I'll never forget this club and everyone who crossed paths with me here, especially the ones who believed in me and loved me.
“Wish you all the best for the next season – Edinburgh will always be my home.”

All the best Elie. Hope you can flourish at the right club.

I suppose “mercurial” is the most fitting description for him. Had the ability to reach a much higher level in the game but seemed to lack the attitude and application. Hopefully he can get his career back on track in a warmer climate. Orrabest Elie.

Just a pity he gave not 1 shit about Hibs

Elie Youan eh ? What a player the guy is , could get you off your feet and an exciting watch but unfortunately a dreadful dreadful attitude summed up with his comment about wanting to leave for the last two years. It all makes sense that he’s injured most of the time but when the transfer window is on the horizon and he’s the best player on the park.

All the best for everyone that he leaves but it’s a common theme that 3 managers have picked him and ended up dropping him and not playing him. He won’t get a better club than Hibs in my opinion and h the penny will drop one day that he’s a wasted talent.

I went off him when Obita got sent off at Dens Park.
Playing keepie uppie when the manager was trying to organise his 10 men.( in reality ,9. 'Cos fucklugs was pissing about)
Cheerio. Good riddance ye fuckin chancer.
Same when he came on as a sub against Rangers at Easter Road.First thing he did was run over to Raskin, say something in his ear and pat him on the back!

I didn't know what to say about Youan leaving like this, I liked him! He had all the tools to be a star at Hibs.

This is going to sound very dad like but ...

I'm very disappointed with him, he's let Hibs down but importantly for what could have been a sound career in football, he's let himself down.

Wee shite!

Wee balloon more like.He let the fans down, the club down and himself down. He should feel deflated.:coffee1:
