After speaking to a friend who supports Falkirk, he has explanied that Yogi played down the penalty incident because of his Hibs connections. He never moaned but said Yogi would normally have a go for this decision!! I had to agree with him Yogi has taken it on the chin and never dwelled on the penalty that never was! Good man :smug:Green Flag Wave

I seem to remember Yogi taking a less than dignified approach to Hibs on previous occasions.

He is Falkirk manager and his 'connections' with Hibs (of which there are currently none) would have no bearing on his attitude to the penalty. Unless he is 'dignified' but 'unprofessional' I suppose.

Indeed. I wonder if this sudden outburst of 'dignified' behaviour may be because his brain cell has determined that it thinks there may be a vacancy at Easter Road soon. :hmmm

... or maybe because he thinks it definitely was a penalty so he's keeping his trap shut :coffee:

John Hughes was a Celtic fan as a kid.

If so, it must have been a different John Hughes to the one I was at school with..He was certainly a Hibs fan back then long with his mate Kano..

i played football with and against both of them for years and kano defo hibs and yogi celtic with leanings.

Itd surprise the younger generation but that wasnt as uncommon a generation ago as it might seem.. Before games were all ticket, before large numbers of STs and before admission was so expensive I grew up with a few Tic guys in the Southside and then The Inch who in the 70s / early 80s would go to support Hibs if we were playing Huns or Hertz and a few Hibbies who'd support them if they were playing Hertz at Tynie.

We as a support have moved on and you'd be hardpressed to find anyone nowadays into that kind of collaboration :rollfloor:rollfloor

Not convinced how much the Hertz have moved on from their 70s love in with der hun:wink:
