Their boy on the right is causing all sorts of problems. Some serious last ditch defending by us.

1 nil up so hard to complain, but we need to do better.

I watched the 2nd half of Qatar v Switzerland.
The Swiss were bloody tragic.

A miss kick by McGinn (off the sole of his boot) and a huge deflection into the goal will be enough to get out the group for first time ever. I'm genuinely happy for the younger Scotland fans who haven't experienced world cup football before.
For me it's a huge borefest.

Its the nature of the game now.
Slow and boring.
 
Delighted to win what was an absolute must-win match.
I thought it would be a very tight close fought game with very few chances, and so it turned out.
John McGinn's goal took a huge deflection, but who cares.
Scotland win their first World Cup match in 36 years.
The next two games clearly are going to be very tough, but winning last night means we have given ourselves a real chance of making history.
Well done lads.
 
Great win as SJM steps up again, described as a 'pub player' by Roy Keane! I fell asleep during 2nd half of Brazil vs Morocco, was good apparently! Woke up for start of Haiti game, fell asleep for the goal, woke up at half-time then fell asleep until the last 2 minutes of injury time! Tricky fixture, seemed to be alot of diving going on from Haiti, who were visibly sick as parrots at the end. Celebrations look great. Think I was on a high from the team of my birth Canada 🇨🇦 from the celebrity spots, rather than the football, including Michael Buble, Alanis Morissette singing the national anthem, Ryan Reynolds and Mike Myers in the crowd. Celine in Paris so can be forgiven. I'm liking Kelly Cates more and more. Must mention the Tartan Army interaction with the local polis, quite remarkable and an example that should be followed in other parts of the UK.

What’s the point? Folk need a reality check like, first World Cup in 28 years… The point is to win, Scotland WON! A tremendous result, show that same spirit in the next two games and we’ll get something, get through the group and we’ve made history.

To see a modern day Hibs legend score the winner at World Cup was sensational, John McGinn, what a man.

Grant Hanley was outstanding too, defended his box like a man possessed and sprayed a love pass out to Ganon-Doak for what lead to the goal.

Job done. Done what was needed. There's a good chance other third place teams don't get a win so we're in with a shout of the next round.

I thought Shankland was poor too, didn't really compete for anything.
I reckon we go with just Che Adams for the next 2.

Hanley's ball to Adams for the goal was unreal, so was Adams touch to bring that down.

Third is most likely to give us the winner of Germany's group. Mexico group and France group are the other alternatives I think.
Getting Mexico, or South Korea would give us a shot.

Shankland is a penalty box goalscorer.
If you create chances for him in the box, he will score goals.
The problem is in games like last night when there are barely any chances being created in the box, he is lost as he doesn't have much more to his game.
We will be back to 4-5-1 for both the Morocco and the Brazil matches with Che Adams ploughing a lone furrow up front.
Shankland will only be brought on if we are desperate for a goal.
