We have to believe we can win it. This is the one that really counts. The league cup is great but give me the Scottish any day.

A club like Hibernian with its fan base, with its history and tradition have got to aspire to winning the Scottish cup.

Look at those who have one it in the last few decades: Dun Utd, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Motherwell.

How come they can all do it.:dunno:

If im lucky I have about 4-5 decades left. In my previous 3.5 decades I
have seen hibs lift 2 trophies, 1 of which I can remember. I will be a hibbey till I die but Im not overconfident in seeing much in the way of silverware.

There are two things required to win trophies in Scotland, Luck and a ruthless winning mentality. In my lifetime Hibs have rarely had these ingredients, and going by the many historical books about Hibs I have read we have not had them in the past either. It is therefore no surprise to me that we have went over a century without winning the Scottish Cup. We profess to be a big club (which we are) yet too often we don't act like one. It is a total disgrace that Hibs have went 104 years without winning this trophy. We had a great chance this year, and the players turn on a performance like that. If they couldn't bring themselves to produce a gutsy fighting performance today, then they never will.

I thought that this year was our year but we just didnt look interested int he game....We just need them to be frsh and coonfident..hopefully less injuries next season

That's why it's vital that those not going to be part next season are punted ASAP and we start building now.

Einstien(i think):hmmm said if any thing is possible it will happen, but their now trying to prove the law of gravity wrong so i don't know:dunno: :sad .

thought this was our year but obviously not:sad dont know when we'll win it, but next season celtic and rangers will both be stronger and hearts will aswell. then again you never know lets just see what happens next season especially if we can keep our key players fit.

how many times have you heard "this will be our year" i don't think it will be until we are in a similer position as yams, sellthink, & rantic

we don't have the money and there is no-one willing to put money into us either (or at least not enough money) and when we sell our best players to get a few bucks to make the books balance, rather than win things which brings in money through comp maney and more supportters through the gate,

i think we should walk in and take the club for the supporters we could probably run it a shet load better

yeah every year we hear that its going to be our year but i didnt really think this was it, IMO first and foremost i think we need training facilities aswell as bring in a few new players but we dont have the resources so what do we do.

1 problem

new training ground + new players + anything else needed = money

now our problem is

negitive balance + new training ground + new players = begger negitive balance

what we really need is a few good backers who are willing to put in some serious money to help us on the way

say 15 backers at 2 million each should do everything we need

then you need to increase then fan base, we got humped, who wants to watch us get humped

When Hibs, go up, to lift the Scottish Cup, we'll be dead, we'll be dead!:rollfloor
I suppose you have to laugh:roll:

I think we will win it, but i think as soon as we get close to a semi final or final, there is so much pressure on us as a team/supporters. This being because we havn't won it in 105 years and i think this makes the pressure so much bigger as this is constantly at the back of everyones mind.

Next couple of seasons and hopefully be ours!

Our time was now. Celtic and Rangers poorest seasons in who knows how long. Our best team since the last final. The gunts in a state of uncertainty but now no doubt even more invest will go into all 3 teams where as we will need to keep operation on a pish budget and will become further and further away from all 3.
