Is coming whether we like it or not.It will change the nature of the game for good or bad as some will have it.If it gets us away from the automatic incident that will be a bad thing. If it get's us a penalty decision that doesn't see us inevitably kicked out a cup or keep us from being relegated then I'm all for it.I think it pretty much comes down to who runs the thing.A system run outwith football would be ideal, you could get a group of people give them a course on the rules of football and let them run it without interferance.Somehow I don't think that is how it will work out.The governing bodies will have their mucky paws all over it and so the conspiracy theories will continue.

I posted on here months ago that I actually applied for a VAR operator post. It’s run by a private company separate from the football governing body. As part of the job description, operators are occasionally required to cover matches in other countries. I’m guessing that could be a reciprocal arrangement where VAR operators are brought in from abroad to cover matches here, but I suppose that’ll depend on operator availability.
It’s all done by computer so there’s little opportunity for human error and it’s all recorded. The final arbiter is still the match referee.
