Upcoming gigs?

Last concert was the always excellent Jools Holland Band and this Thursday is John Mayer with the hope that Robbie McIntosh makes an appearance.

EH17 Jimmy is looking for Taylor Swift tickets, if any Bouncer can help he will greatly appreciate it.

Tickets are like gold dust mate. You'd need to sell a kidney or something to get enough money.

I’ve got two spare standing tickets for Springsteen in Cardiff on Sunday, if anyone here wants them will sell below face value

Sadly now can’t, you?

Posted about tickets on Backstreets forum if you know anywhere else let me know

Probably go to Sunderland in a few weeks
I'm going to the Sunderland show at the Stadium of Light on May 22nd...had been thinking about Cardiff as well as I saw Bruce and the ESB there back in 2008 and it was fantastic. Just no flights from Edinburgh on the Saturday and no chance of accommodation put me off. I just passed on it.

Still considering a trip to the states later in the year, as it was always on my bucket list to see Bruce in the US, but domestic situation now means I can't really plan ahead too much. Hope you get a ticket for the Sunderland show. This years tour seems to have a more varied setlist than last years.

only a few US shows to go - better make yer mind up soon :)

Eddi Reader at the Queens Hall last week was fantastic. Her voice at 65(almost) is as good as ever and the band which included her husband were musically brilliant. Fairground Attraction have reformed so I've got tickets for them at the Usher Hall in October.
Queens Hall I must say is a terrific venue for sound, location and facilities.

I have 2 tickets going spare for Sunderland, (seated rather than standing though) and happy to accept a reasonable offer for them.

Was at Springsteen in Cardiff tonight… brilliant show, great set list, he was on top form. As for the E Street Band, they’re always on top form.

Seeing them again at the San Siro next month.

Superb mate just been watching some of it on YouTube, gutted not to make it

Three hours of sheer magic from Bruce and the E Street Band tonight at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland.
Rain was a bummer, but I had a stand seat anyway and Bruce was on brilliant form.
He's still the greatest live performer in the world in my opinion, with a songbook like no other.
My 26th Springsteen concert since 1985, and hopefully not the last.

Saw her in Aberdeen the other week. Agree she and her band were brilliant.

Just noticed she's playing In Hawick in July , I didn't see her when she was down in Gala last year but I think I might be tempted to go this time

Saw A Certain Ratio @ Summerhall last month and then Swim School at St. Lukes the Wednesday after.
Blancmange in mid May, again at St Lukes so that is me done until three nights in a row for LCD Soundsytem at Barrowland when I get back from the Euros.
BIS (30th anniversary at St. Lukes) on 7th September, Man Machine (Kraftwerk tribute band) on the 13th, Look Back Bores (bunch of Fall fans!) at Broadcast 02.11.24 and then IDLES on 17th in Belfast.
I am doing my best to cut back and that might be it for the year.

Travis and The Killers at the Hydro tonight. Seen both many times before, and both put on a really good show, but the sound quality up in the gods was pretty pish!

Was at greenday in Glasgow last night

Was pretty good, they sound just like they do in the studio.
Band I'd never heard of were on before them, nothing but thieves, they were decent too.

Only heard about this concert today. Gutted.

I was swithering on this one. I've seen them a few times back in the day (Nimrod tour '98 was one of my first gigs actually), and I've not been a massive fan of their output post American Idiot, but the 30th anniversary run through of Dookie they are doing just now was appealing.

I ended up patching it in the end but I'm kind of regretting it now as they have always been great live.
