Jmon, is it possible to set up a forum or two that would allow you to read or post via the forum or twitter. It might need to work on a particular # eg #bounce or #cowshed but would be interesting going forward - I'm trying to get my head round how it would work - but would tap into considerable Hibs chat on twitter. Could a forum read particular hash tags every 15 minutes and update? Could a forum post to twitter?

The Bounce already posts on twitter Bobby :dunno:
 
Could be easily spammed though. Easy for gunts to tweet a basic tweet with the tag and it'll appear on the post.

I like the idea but would be difficult to set up.
 
I'm thinking tangentially, but would it be better to link a twitter account to your bounce account so that you post on the bounce in a forum or thread and it posts to twitter automagically. Same as if you post with your linked account on twitter, then it feeds into the forum on the bounce automagically.

And you are saying "what's the point of that?"

Well, I would say, it's not the answer to have to open up email/safari/facebook/twitter/tapalk to check for "things". Integrating them in a way that works is the way forward - but I don't want to cross post to my Facebook and twitter and I know there are programmes for that. I quite like dipping into Hibs chat on twitter, and the 140 character limit works. It'd work I think on a thread or forum on the bounce - let's say a thread.

In fact it could be a thread on pie stand called twitter: read it the bounce, or read it on twitter via #bounce post on the thread, or post on twitter #bounce . Appears in both places. Needs a linked bounce and twitter account, or free for all and remove any spammers.

I'm getting twitter now.well a bit more than I did. I think it suits my sarcastic nature.:pf:

Do we need a Terry butcher smiley - maybe arms folded leaning?
