Tv series

I'll give series 2 a dingy then. But well enjoyed series 1
I didn’t finish it and can’t mind much about it. That was in era I didn’t have so many choices as well. It’s generally held to be poor.

3 is very good though. Not a patch on 1 and maybe suffers being under the same brand, but well worth watching.

Are each of the seasons related or is it more Fargo style? ie if I skip season 2 I won't be wondering wtf is going on in season 3?

Is it series 2 that has Vince Vaughan in it? Honking aye.

The masked singer 😩
Big difference between me acting my age re- music and davina mcall dressing like a 15 year old

I'm waiting on Prime here to put up all the episodes before I start.

Today they put up the final episode of the 2nd season of Reacher so I just started that tonight.
Watched Reacher Season 2, not a patch on season 1. Actually laughable in some parts. Even Mrs NGP, who usually loves this kind of stuff, used the word ridiculous.

I finished it this afternoon and I agree with your wife.

It's pish but it's watchable pish.

At least it isn't Tom Cruise playing Reacher - the biggest miscasting ever,

Just watched all of Indian Police Force.

It has it all. Jihadis, the British, singing and dancing, car chases, machine guns, special effects and some good footage of Indian Cities.

Oh and they don't seem to like Bangladeshis.

No wonder. Bangladeshis run all the Indian restaurants in the UK!

A wee Sikh taxi driver told me to head to the Spice Lounge (the auld Rainbow) at Clerie for a scran.

Mother and father run place. It were fantastic. It's just a pity it's way over that way.

I just finished the first season of Preacher. I know it's old but I'd never heard of it before.

It's mental - I really like it.

Reacher season 2 was watchable but pretty weak. The final episode was just silly. The Terminator T-1000 did not age well!!

I actually liked Tom Cruise as Reacher, I thought he did a great job.

Jimmy if you like a curry, the guru in tollcross is a must. Not quite as good as when it was over in guntland, with a great guy then running it - who used to get me to check the even better staff dinner was seasoned properly during Ramadan where they couldn’t sample it till they ate after sundown - but it’s still the best in town.

Thank me later. Take some pals, get the shared naan. It’s as big as some English counties.

I'd read 2 or 3 of the books before watching it & Cruise was miles away from the Reacher I had in my head. I found it perturbing.

In the Reacher books he is a huge guy not a half pint. He is a maverick who has "adventures" while drifting around the country. It is pure escapism and soon the book series becomes so repetitive in it's plots (?) that it's a bit "read ,one, read them all".
I confess I read the first 3 or four before baling out.

I get most of my books 2nd hand at the equivalent of car boot sales and in one particular charity shop not that far from me that has a whole wall of English language books (I don't read books in French - it's for pleasure, not for work). I rarely pay more than 2€ per book.

Anyway, the 2-3 Reachers that I read I bought all at the same time. They're readable enough but I haven't gone out of my way to find more.

Any good? Quite fancy it. Loved Narcos and was disappointed they when they decided not to do another series.
Well there's a wee bit of glamourisation (?) went on.

I've watched a couple of true crime documentaries about Grizelda and she's no as pleasant as she is in the netflix thing.

But aye it's passable. Lots of it in Spanish obviously but the subs are no too bad.

Only 6 episodes so you can skite through them no problem.

That Indian Police Force is worth a wee watch as well.

Watched the first couple episodes of Masters of The Air last night. Decent, don’t think it’ll be as good as Band of Brothers, but maybe better than The Pacific

Aye it's very atmospheric (ooo hark at him).
I really enjoyed the first series as well.

5 foot 6 with his hands in the air. Definitely not Reacher material for me.

Can't be arsed to scroll back through this thread, but has anyone ever watched Justified? Timothy Oliphant from Deadwood, Walton Goggins from the Shield. Super cool dialogue from Elmore Leonard. What's not to like?

I have a Netflix subscription.
I give my subscription to my lassie and grandbairns and watch Netflix on the firestick.

If you use a VPN as well you can be in America and get netflix American version.
