Thank Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsburys etc. for ruining all small shops/suppliers.

No more independent butchers, bakers, sweetie-shops, fish-mongers, dry-salters, toy-shops, and so on.

I don't know if Thresher is like this but their other chain Wine Rack are based round the corner and they have the stupidest business model. They offer 3 bottles of wine for the price of 2 but their basic price is so inflated that if you buy three the average price is about the same but a bit more than the supermarkets. If you want only one bottle you pay for that 50% over the usual asking price. The 24hr Londis corner shop is cheaper.

Example: Regular price decent Merlot 9.90

Thresher price 15- 3 for 2 30 works out at 10 each but you have to spend 30 which is an amount most folk would hesitiate at if your just wanting a single bottle for that evening or a rip of 15 for a single bottle. Really stupid.
