I read the article. The school contacted the local constabulary seeking advice, most likely on the EDL aspect, which is fair enough. The kid probably told everyone what all the sites were he visited but the media like to jump on the UKIP part and highlight it as establishment suppression because they've got a boner for anyone who is slightly controversial that makes headlines.
I expect our own extremist - foxy all over this thread shortly.
I'm sorry but you think a school needs to call the cops because someone looked up a feckin EDL website? Feck sake. Quite apart from the one sidedness of (doubt the rozzers would be getting a call if they looked up UAF or swp) what happened to teachers ? On one hand they're supposed to be social workers dealing with all the wreckage that washes up on their shores, on the other they're supposed to be religious police ensuring no one has an incorrect thought, and yet at the same time they cannot deal with a kid looking up a neds website without the rozzers being involved? What kind of dystopian vision is taking shape here?
Reports from universities are telling us of the results as anxious little witch burners

A nice safe tory seat awaits him, he'll fit in just fine with the rest of them.I wonder how that whole scenario would have played out had the culprit not been priviledged and from a wealthy family :coffee:
Do you even have to wonder Dub?Couple of years in the pokey.

No. I don't think a school should be calling the police for this and a great many other bollocks. It comes down to abdication of responsibility. Nobody wants to be the last one holding the parcel when the music stops and the finger of blame is getting wagged around. Except the police who are last in the line when it comes to duty of care after every other agency has passed the buck.
It depends on the policies of the education authority.
