I honestly dont believe we are going to sell out. With all the priority groups now gone and any other regulars probably getting there tickets yesterday we are now having to rely on the waiverers to take the remaining 4000. With the cons of this game far out weighing the pros what are the chances of someone who is just as happy watching it on the telly getting up at the crack of dawn on Sunday for an endurance test on the road to hell surrounded by Yams.

What makes it worse is that the Merricks are apparently on the verge of selling out on the first day of public sale

Totally agree, a joke if we dont sell 23k tickets...hibees not going should be shot a dawn or beheaded on Leith walk.:clubbed:
 
38k for Livi match. Now we struggling to sell 23k for Hearts match.

I know the Livi one was a final but I would say this is a far more important match.

Just had a txt from my sister(my bro in law is a yam!) who is in the queue at tiny just now & they have been told there is another 3k tickets on the way through from the sfa offices now so everyone in the queue should get the 4 they are after. :banger: :spit: :sad

The Livvi match was perfect for the part timers and armchairs. There was no transport problems getting to the game, Hibs were expected to win and there was no chance of brawling with the opposition fans.
This game is the complete opposite.
 
We will sell out.Take into account that its only tuesday and some people,like myself,wont be getting paid until thursday/friday so you might find that there may be a late rush:dunno: And even if we weren't to sell out i'd hardly call it a humiliation:tuttut:
 
how was there no transport problems remember celtic were also at home 40000+travelled through from both teams and still made it lets stop making excuses and make it a sell out
 
i shudder to think of the humiliating chants that will be aimed at us if we dont sell out:sad

in saying that i think we will sell around 22,500/23,000 of our allocation which i dont think is a disaster......2,000 tickets or so will go today and i imagine the remainders will go at around a few hundred a day until sunday

Agree.

Plus March is the end of a five week month for many where pay is concerned. Tickets will go for sure on payday (Thursday/Friday)

Know what you mean but there are different circumstances. A mate of mine who hasnt been to games for a couple of years was going but he had to work. Mt son is off to cyprus boxing. Others have church commitments, some dont fancy the travel hassles though there are a lot of people who work or play sports an saturdays who you would think would take up this opportunity
 
I must admit to being very frustrated by all of this. If this was us at our maximum support, i would not be, but at a CIS Cup game two years ago we had DOUBLE the numbers we've currently sold..:sad :sad :sad
 
i concur smurf i am really dissapointed at the sales. just goes to show that some hibees only come to games when they think we are going to win and if theres any doubt they dont bother. makes me ashamed to think of people like that.

Yams have only sold more because they allowed 2 per season ticket holder and 4 per person for public sale.
Now that our sale is not restricted i have no doubt we will sell em all. Give it time guys, Come friday they will be gone :worthy

I was on Hibs.net yesterday and was astounded to see the Hibbies predicting three or four goal winning margins for hertz. Let's be fair, they are a stronger team than us, they have beaten us comfortably twice this season, they have a strong defence whereas ours is weak. However, it's not all positives for hertz and negatives for Hibs: Skacel's playacting has been highlighted this week, Brellier is a big miss for them, they don't have a player with the pace of Sproule.

They are justifiable favourites and, as I said on several posts last week, Rix and Duffy's departure will have strengthened their team spirit. However, this is the Scottish Cup. This is the Holy Grail for supporters of Hibernian FC and teams that look like they've burned theirselves out sometimes produce a performance that's not consistent with their current league form.

It's a shame that the Hibs end probably won't be full, but just remember this: not much money was riding on Hibs two years ago and not many Hibbies travelled through for a semi against a team that had beaten us recently (the Scottish Cup 3rd round, 10.01.04). We came from behind that night, we can do it again.

With the antics of Romanov this season (I think he's a worse demagogue than Mercer, he's obviously studied Josef Goebbel's Ministry of Propaganda in depth) we would be very popular winners of the cup. We've won in Glasgow in the cup once already this season; let's do it again.

Us real Hibbies will always follow our team, and there are many like my family who are making the pilgrimage more in hope than expectation because that beautiful social and cultural institution called Hibernian FC means so much to us. They may outnumber us but let's outshout, outsing and OUTPLAY the Jambos.

Hmm never thought about that :hmmm
Still reckon we will sell out. Got my tickets already but for Ibrox, I had to wait till the friday pay day before I got mines. Lets hope when people hear, that there wont be that many que's they will head down. Reckon the ques have put people off! :hmmm
 
Surely the biggest difference to the Livi game is that then season ticket holders were entitled to four tickets each. This meant that a lot of people brought friends and family that wouldn't normally go. With a smaller allocation this time the sale has rightly been more restricted, which at least means that it's the dedicated fans that will be there (and I include people unable to go regularly who are making a special effort in that) and it'll make sure the team get good backing during the game.

Plus I think we'll sell all our tickets anyway.
 
The annoying thing is if we reach the final against Dundee/Gretna we will take 38000 just like the Livvi game. Some so called fans should get there priorities right :banger:

its like liquidator said though, there were 1000's at the final who werent Hibs fans...they were family members, friends who dont usually go to football matches etc

The time to reflect is on the Saturday or at the end of the week when everyones been paid.
We'll have 20K+ at the game easy and probably will or have very nearly sold all our tickets come 12.15 on Sunday.

hearts have closed the que, which means they will have sold out on the first day of the public sale.:sad
 
but guys hearts still huvney sold theres though only the ntrue fans will be there and if we get 2 the final the partimers will come. i was at easter road the day and there was no Q

Well said sir!

Not every Hibby eats, sleeps and breathes football. Some put things such as family holidays etc first. Others may work Sundays, many will not fancy the early kick-off, the potential hassle of getting there and back etc. Personally, I had to cut a deal with my work to get the time off at a cost of 700 in lost earnings and my two fellow travellers from the Northern Tundra are losing wages to be there. We're all different, make allowances for that.

Well m8 i know this guy and this season is the only season that i know of him having a season ticket and attepting to go to away games.I just think its unfair for him to slate others when he was,up until recently,in the same category:worthy

we will sell our tickets, lots of folk where put off when it was 1 per person. now its unlimited, they'll sell no problem.

dont get all ragy with me son. 13 years ive been going to easter road and yes last season and the two season before i never had a season ticket, but i did go and pay at the gate at all home matches. so dont speak bout what you dont know. high and mighty my arse. if you have a problem with me take care of it outwith the bounce. :thumbgrin
