Rebus * is a fictional character, and author Ian Rankin is NOT a Hibby. I believe he's a Raith Rovers man.

* Rebus is only a Hibby in the Ken Stott TV version, in the books he is a lapsed Jambo and his side-kick Siobhan is the one who goes to ER. :coffee:

There's 4 you can remove from the list for the purposes of this "competition".

How so?One of the original bouncers compiles a list if famous Hibbys and it's considered cheating?

anyway, John Peel.

I agree its a tricy one but the competition didn't start until 08-09-10 13:33 and such a complete (and quite superb) list doesn't really give anyone else the opportunity to join in.

Dude how do you know that Keith Moon liked the Hibs?
Cool as fuck if he did like the Hibees but this seems a bit obscure to me.:dunno:

What about Ewan Bremner (Spud in Trainspotting) , ex Davidson Mains primary and Portobello high school.. He HAS to be one of us!!

:dunno:

Gordon Smart the Sun's music journo is a very proud Hibby. Always gives us a mention in his column :thumbgrin

Dick Gaughan (folk singer)
Jim Baxter
Rod Stewart's faither
Archie 'Whoosh' MacPherson's laddie
Stewart Brown (EEN Sports Editor in early 70s)
Last Minute Reilly

Irvine Welsh interviewed Iggy Pop for Classic rock magazine, and Iggy's asked him how hibs were doing,so that makes him a Hibby.

Oh,and the actress who played the lassie in Brookside, who was humping her brother too.

And some bloke from River City.

Right, here's the list so far. I have excluded anyone who's dead (per the original brief), fictional characters, known non-Hibbies, relatives of celebrities and football players. Of those left, several are probably apocryphal and many need substantiating:-

I have to question the credentials of:

Kirsty Gallagher (I am sure she has made it known she supports Celtc -- spits)
Kate Bush (absurd)
Robert De Niro (in a horse's ass he's a Hibby)
Scott Hastings (where's the evidence for this claim. His brother is a HUN FFS!)
Sandy Lyle (Aye, right!)
Iggy Pop (Just fuk off w' that one. You'll be telling us Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela were spotted in the old East tearing up seats after the last game next.)
Ray Winstone (No, he is not. He is a West Ham supporter.)

For purposes of this thread and stretching the fame aspect of it, Mike Keat, founder and leader of The Cuban Brothers/Barry Peters and friend of David Hasselhoff, is a Hibernian footsoldier.
