I don't think there was much in the budget for me to get excited about.
16p on a packet of fags. A joke!
It makes my brand around a tenner a packet. I honestly can't remember buying a packet of fags in this country for years.
Short of fags? Go on a fag run. Last year I had a wee holiday in Barcelona. 2,000 fags here about £1,000. Holiday in Barcelona including a match £350 plus about the same for cigarettes.
Of course the further south you are the cheaper you'll get to Spain.
Why would anyone buy cigarettes in the UK?
The greedier the government gets the more folk will be on my flight.
Did I miss something about fizzy drinks? This is to counter childhood obesity.
It's not actually a tax on the bottle of juice but a tax that's unlikely to ever be implemented on the companies that produce it.
So when are Burger King, McDonald's, KFC etc. getting the obesity tax?
Does it include Starbucks super sugar coffee that has 2 or 3 times the amount of sugar than full fat coke?
