Bit out my depth with modern music but I'll look out for Griff, Holly Humberson and Woldmf Alice

I'd rather buy a season ticket at the Gunt dome than watch that pish
Fair enough, I'll se you when Hibs visit 😃

To he fair I'm not sure I've ever watched the show, but Im ar work watching with a client and getting paid for it so fine by me.

Ok one of my listed artists won an award, the other two not a word of Cant say I've heard of many of them at all except the likes of Adelle, Coldplay,, Olivia Rodriguez...but I have listened to a little of London Grammer and their pretty good

Let me know if anyone duets their chart hit with Extreme Noise Terror, throws a bucket of ice water over an MP or waggles their arse at a nonce dressed as Jesus. Otherwise I'm pretty sure the Brits peaked in the 90s.

I see Wolf Alice won group of the year. I liked their first album but the last two have been a bit disappointing if I'm honest. Other than the odd track here or there, they've lost a bit of that punk/grunge energy they had on their first one.

Yayy griff made an appearance and Holly done a song so well pleased I feel up to date on the music scene 😎😅

Not a bloody clue who any of them are but saw on the news that Adele had won a few prizes.
I hear quite a lot of her stuff where I live coming from bars or on the radio. I know it's her cos my ears start bleeding. Bloody awful woman just shouts her way through her songs....painful!

Loved her 2nd album but just not ge6ting into her latest stuff, maybe because it all sounds same as before And yes her voice when she talks is pretty annoying particularly. Give me smooth speaking Kate Bush any day.

Have to say I have had little interest in most bands and artists over the last 25 years give or take a few stand outs But I am trying to engage a little more. Cant in any way get into rappers though

She makes Morrissey sound joyous

Would agree with that, But I am also trying to get out the habit of only listening to bands from years ago, plus my tastes have mellowed greatly in the intervening years. I can listen to various types of music but mostly am happy with fairly chilled vocals. I don't believe that suddenly there is no one around who can sing or write good lyrics or play good music, but it might just mean looking around a bit more. Or maybe I am a young at heart guy :happydance:

What will they call it once we get independence?

The vast vast majority of folk listen to music until their mid 30's, then spend their life listening to the same music for the rest of their lives.
They live totally in the past musically.
Think I managed to stay switched on to what was happening musically until my 50's.
I still listen to a lot of new music but it's impossible to keep up with it all anymore.
There is lots of great music still being produced but you won't find it on industry guff like The Brits.
The Cerys Matthews Show which is on BBC 6 music at 10am every Sunday is my weekly must listen for great music that I haven't heard before.
Her taste is impeccable. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
