Really thought 'high-flying' AZ would give them a good test tonight after a few excellent euro matches the last coupla years. But still a touch on the young side on average iirc.

I’m a Villa fan (somewhat lapsed but still follow them) so I’m glad that he is doing his stuff for them.
But….deep down I would love him to get one big move. Just so we find out how much the sell on clause is.
 
I think the window for him moving to a British club passed 2 summers ago.

Although, maybe get a European club take a pop on him.
Or Saudi 💰 🤑

Until someone can come up with something better than Transfermarkt that we can easily access then Transfermarkt it is. Folk call it out but can't suggest anything better.

The 'formula' they use is the same all over the world so at least its relatively unbiased. Having said that the main man for Scotland a while ago was a gunt and he and I had a few robust conversations 😆

I couldn’t agree more some week minded players would be swayed by their agent and have gone to the Huns as most do for money. SJM always made the right choice guided by his family.

Championship when signed, but point still true.
Great value for money all in.

Him and Robertson both, 2 of the hardest workers out there, 2 of less than 20 Scots in that league.
Both incredible value for money.

Hopefully leading the way for the next generation of Scottish stars.
Closer to home we can point directly at John and tell our Hibs lads that's what you can achieve.
 
I was on a cruise not long after he signed for villa and a villa fan sitting at the bar was saying even then that they couldn’t believe villa got him for the price they did 🤷‍♂️
 
I'm sure we will have add ons for appearances,scotland caps etc. The ship has sailed but can see him moving for a few million a couple of years down the line. Maybe finish his career at celtic or even us if foley pumps in money.With Ryan and josh probably moving in the next 6 to 12 months I'm sure will be raking in good money from transfers.
 
Yet another MOTM award for SJM simply brilliant. That’s 13 out of the last 14 games for Villa and Scotland.

I was surprised myself, it‘s across various sporting reporting platforms from the BBC, SKY, Viaplay, TNT and across all domestic and international competition. That’s why I questioned SJM’s worth being low.
