Scudding Killie in closed door game

[Hibees-Mad]

Is there any proof that this actually happened, or is it another internet legend?

When what and where?

There was talk that we had a closed for march assist Kilmarnock and people were saying we won 5 or 6 nil and it was only 70 minutes. Just wondered if anyone had any confirmation of this or just another internet comment that grew legs

This is all I can find but it appears to be pure speculation;

Reportedly Hibs played a friendly against Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, in a 5 nil hammering

The game was 70 minutes long, and Nathan Lowe picked up 2 goals, as well as Rabbi Matondo picking up 1 goal and 1 assist. The other scorers are unknown ️

For those who have heard, Hibs played a 3 back with Matondo playing on the left wing and the right winger playing higher up the pitch

Hibs had 3 number 10’s on the pitch, which presumably would be Nathan Lowe, Martin Boyle and Ante Šuto given that Klidje and Elding are on international duty’s for Ireland and Togo

Great to see Nathan Lowe scoring and there is definitely big expectations for him, as he will try to fill the boots of Kieron Bowie

Killie reported a recent keeper signing has been rejected so chance they may have been forced to play someone relatively inexperienced.

Judging by Saturday's performance it must have been 11 Kilmarnock mannequins!

A big difference between a closed door friendly and a real competitive away game. One is no pressure the other there is and they fell flat.
