Scottish

Are you identifying as something other than what you are assigned on your government issued documents?

Because, even if your personal feelings about your identity seem more important than that, others will disagree and the law is the law.
If it were possible to change it I would, no question, that should answer that question. Let me know if it’s possible and I’ll set the wheels in motion, bit late in the day right enough, never thought I could do that 🤷‍♂️ that’s one of the problems we are faced with when it comes to documentation. It’s like your british, like it or lump it even though I don’t consider myself to be , if that makes sense 😡

I'm English! Born in England, Dad was English, Mum Scottish.

Lived in Scotland for 66 years and consider myself to be Scottish. I worked for the Scottish Government and it predecessors almost my whole working life.

A fervent supporter of independence I just know that when Scotland does become independent there will be some sort of monumental cockup and I'll be refused a Scottish passport and deported to a country I don't know 😆

They should introduce some sort of Nationality Recognition Certificate so you could get your birth certificate, passport and driver's licence changed to "Scottish".

No trying to go all conspiracy theory here Jack but you and Joe both have the letter J.

Aye but Jack and Joe (Baker) were born in Englandshire.

Whilst moi was born in Edinburgh 😁

I consider myself to be Scottish, end of .
In no way, shape or form do I consider myself to be British, whether in the past, in the present or in the future 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
One grandfather English. Pretty much all the rest Icelandic heritage down through Shetland to Leith. I'm Scottish. Embarrassed to say British so never do. That viewpoint reinforced by hun bastards and the vast majority of English I know who at worst hate, at best ridicule and believe they are better than Scots, Welsh and Irish. Also these pricks claim the 'union' flag as their own and are too stupid to NOT understand it's the flag not the jack.
Fuck Britain. The country where I worked and paid tax and NI for 48 years and who are now punishing me by freezing my pension because I live in the 'wrong' country.

slippery slope to independence

Now you mention it, if it is a union of 4 sovereign states, then we should really have Scottish on our documents if we so choose.

When i was in a kind of large village in Zanzibar, this couple came up to me, i think they were dutch, anyway, they asked me “Deutch? French? Or English?”
Scottish i said, “oh, awkward” he said and started laughing.
They were simply asking directions to the beach 🤣🤣🤣

Born in Edinburgh,English dad,Italian mum with Irish surname. Only ever considered myself scottish. Never felt any britishness at all. My kids feel exactly the same way not that that matters. It's their choice but they are very proud scots.
