Some good saves there the night from the ex-Hibs goalkeeper who never kept a game for us.
Why's that Hammi? Was he not part of the deal when we got Allan?Still winds me up.

It's because we signed him, and Celtic thought they'd rather just have him
So they forved us and Dundee to play ball, we both surrendered.
Aye, having Scott back helped, but it's the folding to Celtic that gets me.

Gift that's giving all the way until next yearWe certainly didn't fold over SJM though!
They're still hurting.

Your reply gives me the impression you'll stick to your view even if its pishThats true, but only because they were insulting in their attempts.
If they had made half an effort they'd have got him.

I was just under the impression that the deal was beneficial to all parties? They needed a goalie, we wanted Allan and Dundee needed weighed in, or at least wages off the books? It's because we signed him, and Celtic thought they'd rather just have him

Both Bain and Allan were stuck on the bench at Dundee under managerial genius Paul Hartley..

Because acting like an oracle makes anyone on here look like a complete clownFeel free to give me something explaining what exactly is pish about it?

If LD and/or RP surrendered to Peter Lawell I'll be amazed.
Once again a pishnado of assumptionIt was in the end.
But when it happened, Dundee were forced to give up Allan, we were forced to give up Simon Murray, and Celtic got to make all the decisions about who went where without losing anything themselves.
Hindsight, of course it worked. But at that point, McLaren and Kamberi were untested, we needed a goalkeeper and Allan was just recovered from an injury and was barely getting game time at Dundee.

Not saying that's wrong, but honestly can't recall it being presented like that.It was in the end.

It probably wasnt, and it was probably Scott Bain that forced yhe Celtic move.
But we had already signed him and I wouldn't have looked for solutions to let Celtic get him.
Celtic wanted him after we signed him. And they got him.
Thats not exactly a strong stance from us.
If Celtc came to us and said 'we need a goalie, you can have Allan', I'm fine with that. There's a time and place to hold your ground. For Hibs it wasn't over Bain.imo.

And that's fine, but for me, there's no situation where we should accommodate them. It wasn't a straight swap with the Scotts, that would be a different matter.
It's all the hoops that had to be navigated en route.
We needed a goalie, so we signed him
We needed forwards. So we let go the one that had most of our goals, because Dundee needed to be subsidised in this too.
Great, it worked last season. But it could easily not have. If McLaren and Kamberi didn't find their feet. Started like this season instead.
All this is pointless anyway. No gonna argue about what might have been. Just meant that the folding on demand riled me up.
Do you think we should have kept Simon Murray then? I probably would have at least for an option off the bench.

I must be your worst nightmare. I was ginger until the day I got married (started going grey that day). The wife is ginger, Euphonium is ginger and I've got two Irish Red Setters. Roond ye.I saw his burd on some thread or tweet or something.
Boy's punching above his weight big time. Definite score.
So much for the old adage that ginger guys only pull ugly bints.
If any gingers out there want to add weight to this, please feel free to post pics as evidence that you have pulled, and she's not a mutant or a munter.
If it's a bit 'risque' PM me the pics.
I do. I did.
I liked him, he had a great energy and attitude towards using it. I felt like even though his goals had dropped off a bit, he'sd earned the right to try and recover the form.
