River City

No surprise.

Soap operas have had their day IMO.
Viewing figures are well down on all of them including the likes of Corrie and Eastenders.
Watched a few episodes of River City years ago, and was immediately put off by the fact that it was yet another Glasgow/West of Scotland offering which we have had
rammed down our throats for decades. It's like scottish entertainment/comedy/music begins and finishes at the other end of the M8.

Been a fan of said programme for around 15 years. Sad that the BBC have chosen to axe this given that it still has decent viewing figures and this decision will be a major loss to aspiring and future acting talent in Scotland.

'mon the Shieldinchers - get Lenny on their case! :9:

Probably getting axed to pay for the Scotland matches getting aired on ‘free to air’ tv

Did Grant Stott not get a role and insist on some Hibs references?
Probably the death knell for a Weegie soap if true.

Weegie and soap in the same sentence.
Should be a prize.
He absolutely did this. His son Stevie (that he didn't know he had) and him started to get together after finding out the truth. Grant wanted to show how much he loved him........so bought him a Hibs scarf - as you do :sm023:

Several Hibs mentions courtesy of our Grant over the resulting years.

fj - 'Save the City'! :54:

Baws. The father 'situation' was 50/50 with that posh bloke that Lennie bumped off. Scarlet had a fling with Sam after a festival and guess what happened....
