RIP Benjamin Zephaniah

I liked him a lot, and don't really get poetry in general. He always just seemed a good, kind and moral human being who accomplished a lot from a crap start in life. Rest in power Ben!

Benjamin Zephaniah, a man of many talents,
A poet, writer, and musician, his words are relevant.
His words are like a river that flows,
Through the streets of Handsworth, where he grows.
His voice is like a trumpet that sounds,
In the ears of the people, who gather around.
His poetry is like a mirror that reflects,
The struggles of the people, who he protects.
His words are like a weapon that fights,
Against injustice, oppression, and human rights.
Benjamin Zephaniah, a man of many talents,
A poet, writer, and musician, his words are relevant.
