My auld man who is 92, housebound, and can barely walk, has had a special recliner chair for the last few years.
I'm his carer.
The chair has stopped working. The remote control thingy has packed up.
Tried contacting Occupational Health and they don't do these chairs any more, nor do they fix them.
Anyone on here know if that's something an electrician can fix, or will it have to be a new chair ?

Have you checked out links for YouTube that might help fix the problem?

Have you tried asking OH for a reassessment of your dad’s needs? You’d like to think they could offer a replacement. Problem is these assessments can take a while. Maybe try contacting the manufacturer for advice? Good luck.

From my own experience of this very thing I’d just replace the chair if you can afford it. OT are great, but the time frame they’re working within does not meet the requirements of your dad. Highly unlikely you’ll be able to fix the overly complex wiring in these chairs too.
Hope your dad isn’t too inconvenienced by this. 92 is some innings

Just had a look on gumtree Edinburgh area, there are a few on there 2nd hand.

If it's an old chair chances are you won't get spare parts for it and if you can more likely they will be expensive.

Do you have transport to go and look at chairs and pick them up?
