This year is seeing some famous faces going. Here's another one. He was a fine goalie, for Liverpool and for England. At the time he was playing England had 3 top class goalies in Clemence, Shilton and Jennings. No doubt there are several videos about of the best saves ever. Clemence is bound to figure. Playing in a Liverpool side that would have given any team in the world a game. He just was very good. Anyway again I don't know too much about his personal background, Bob Wilson has just said he was a good guy so I'll take that. Goodbye Ray, RIP.

Always preferred him to that Tory wank Shilton, they used to alternate between them I think for internationals

Dalglish nutmeg at hampden a classic moment but still a great keeper

RIP

Sad to hear this today.

Clemence was a tremendous goalkeeper in a legendary Liverpool team, and also gave great service to Tottenham and had many caps for England. Hugely successful at Liverpool...three European cup wins is not to be sniffed at. Always came over as a nice guy as well.

Saw him play twice when I was a lad. At Easter Road against Hibs when he saved a penalty from John Brownlie, and also I was behind the goals at Hampden in 1976 when King Kenny Dalglish put the ball through his legs.

RIP Ray.

Not a regular Scotland supporter, but I was at that game.

Forgot that I would have seen him play against Hibs too.
