He does a lot of running and covering but like you I feel he lacks "dig"

I'm of the opinion the whole Hibs team stands off completely. Christ Wilkie ran 40 yards through us yesterday in the first half.

Rankin is one of the players at the moment that needs to give us more. I would of substitued him for Stevenson at some point late in the game yesterday.

I also think that Rankin is not up to the job,but i have to say he is a lot closer to the mark than Zarabi.Yesterday i dont think he hit a hibs player with two consecutive passes,and the number of passes into touch/no mans land were to many to count.Get him out and Hanlon in.

One of the things that pissed me off with Zarabi and his passing was that he often looked, took his time, studied the situation and then passed the ball to nobody.

Having watched the Shiels goal again, the guy breaking up the Utd move at the other end was Rankin.:shock:

So by your logic we have a 4 man midfield, with 3 out of that 4 not expected to put a "fit in", Leaving only Boozy. I feel we again missed Murray in the CM yesterday, but that was a result of injuries so all in all did well to get a point.
