I was at that match. A superb shot and a good match. Even though we got beat.

It was the first time I saw Sparky play.

I thought 'this guy's got promise' :detective:

Was there too, some cracking goals from their forward, multi million pound signing for Hoffenheim if I remember correctly?

I had seen Leigh a few times before then, remember watching a Scotland u21 game on sky and Leigh was coming off the bench, was on the phone to my mate at the time, told him to switch the channel to point Leigh out, then within a minute he scored a header, made me look like I knew what I was talking about :yas:

Was it not Glenn Stefanny now of Spurs?

I haven't played football for 40 years so the rules might have changed, but when I played the ball had to go forward from the KO and it had to roll its circumference, which would make the goal illegal, as the ball never moved, it was still on the centre spot when it was kicked.

Just looked it up, and your completely right.

Hoffenheim had just shelled out 7million for him, he was clearly a class better than everyone else on the pitch that day.

"...The world of football was buzzing on Monday after Robin van Persie's wonder-strike helped propel Manchester United to their 814th Premier League title - a fitting tribute to Alex Fergsuon's 1,112th season in charge of the Red Devils..."

Didn't realise Sir Lexo was that old... And surely they must have overtaken Liverpool long ago with that amount of feckin titles?
