Good? Or bad?

Personally I'm torn. If it was a tory @@$@ I can imagine being very annoyed. On the other hand, I l like our leader showing up on one of the few working class programmes on telly.

Does everyone here agree he comes across like a good @@$@?
 
Nope, he's trying to please everybody and if you do that you end up pleasing nobody.
He comes up with all these ideas with not a clue how he's going to pay for them.
HE might come across as a good c#nt but i know good c#nts down my local i widnae trust tae run a bath never mind the country.
Being a good *&*^ isnae a prerequesite for running the country, being somebody who can make hard decisions with a clear view how tae implement them is. Burnham isnae that man.
He had a few dodgy dealings in manchester and left that city 1.5 bill in debt.

While Burnham seeks closer ties with our " allies" in the EU , France and Germany are offering to supply argentina with submarines during heightening tensions over the falklands.
Fuckin concentrate on our defences burnham

If we say the US , Israel and other European nations are our( UK) allies, then its ok for them to sell hardware to Argentina?

Argentina, unlike the last time, has made it quite clear there will be no attempt to take the islands by force.

Their bampot leader has more to be concerned about at home. He's got huge problems under any category you care to mention. Germany and France would be better asking where they're getting the money to pay for them 😆 Argentina being the biggest debtor to the IMF in the world by a long shot!

Milei has said Argentina are willing to take matters into their own hands while saying he doesn’t believe in military action. Make of that what you will.
The problems he’s got at home are why this has raised its head and why I wouldn’t trust a word he says

We’ve got bigger problems than getting our knickers in a twist about the falklands. It may have escaped your notice but Britain can no longer play the billy big baws on the world stage.

It’s nothing tae dae wi’ being Billy big baws, It’s about protecting the inhabitants of a British territory, who want and have every right to remain a British territory against a country that keeps threatening their sovereignity

I get that but ultimately those folks wishes doesn’t matter. Once Trump’s fellow facist leader in Buenos Aires promises him a cut of the oil revenues it’ll be time for the Falklanders to pack up and go.

America used to be our ally too

I agree with you that we should protect their sovereignty. But no dealing with anyone who might sell them weapons? In that case no relationship with the US which is the major supplier to Argentina.

The Rawandan money would've ended up with loads of brown envelopes getting passed around or the modern version.

The rwanda scheme was starting to work which is why they started going to ireland . Labour didnt give it a chance.
It wasnt to be measured on how many we sent there, it was how many it stopped coming here.
715 mill as a deterent seems chicken feed to what labours lack of border control is costing us now

Now there’s a NIMBY post if ever I seen one.

Ireland was only the first stop. They were crossing the border into the north and accessing the uk by the back door.
But that’s ok to you because they weren’t arriving directly in your part of the country.

Call me nimby if you want i couldnt give one.
There werent as many going to ireland as there had been coming here. It had started acting as a deterent.
And for your information they dont arrive in my part of the country, at least very few do, I dont want them landing anywhere.
The only thing that will stop them is a deterent, what is labours?
As soon as they land they should be detained processed and deported, thats a deterent

Street homelessness is a really difficult issue to deal with. So you have to build a network of services to address the immediate issues and put preventative measures in place. It's not a one off payment. It's about looking after some very vulnerable people. Looking after our own.

Any evidence that it was starting to work? Supporters of throwing money away claim this, but never show their workings.
 
Rwanda open to hosting migrants transferred from Europe, EU lawmakers say.

Earlier this month, five European countries said they aimed to strike agreements this year to send migrants without a legal right to remain in the European Union to countries outside the bloc.

Germany, Austria, Greece, Denmark and the Netherlands, known as the Group of Five, said they had agreed on concrete steps towards establishing return hubs in a non-EU country as part of a wider European push to increase deportations and curb irregular migration.

An EU official told Reuters, on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak publicly, that Rwanda was among the countries being considered by the Group of Five.

Well Archie why do you think EU nations are now looking at African nations as places to put migrants?

If it was a really bad idea then surely the Germans would laugh and say 'Gott in Himmel that's a stupid idea".
