Alex Gogic

All 4 were deemed not good enough for us and have gone elsewhere to do very well. There was no real upset when all 4 left but all 4 have kicked on.... The clubs they are at (or gone to before current club) all have less pressure than Hibs. Was it just mentality of they individuals or a management/coaching issue? There's an argument that all 4 got coached elsewhere to be different players than they were at ER?

Any others that have left to do well elsewhere in Scotland?

All good pros but I would not want any of them in the current Hibs team.

Vente doing well at Whorenveen. Sorry just seen Scotland.

Scruffy *&*^ Hartley. Rankin was brilliant at Dundee Utd. Booth and Wotherspoon at St Johnstone winning stuff when we were shite.

McGinn was exceptionally good in the centre of defence role he played for Motherwell.

Always a RB at Hibs.
RB or RCB of a back 3.

A 6.5/10 player every week - worse options to have.

Gogic is an absolutely limited player that looks better than he is.

I would have liked to have seen Tait get a chance here though

I thought letting Paul McGinn go when we did was mad, he’d still be a good option for us now (well, prior to his injury)

Simon Murray.
Would have kept Gogic.
Tait was let go due to off the field issues and I'm fairly sure Hamilton dumped him for similar reason.
Can't remember the exact reason possibly gambling and bullying but I know there was deep animosity from Mark Strachan about him

Zoubir carved out a pretty decent career.
Plays in Champions League most years, and i believe was captain too.

Some places just fit players better.

Style, expectations etc.

Paul McGinn we should've kept tbf, solidly consistent. But since he left we used Cadden and Miller, both would be ahead of him no problem and at centre back he'd have struggled for games too.

At centre back last season he was performing at an unbelievably high standard but the system suited him.

Tait was superb at Falkirk last season.

Fraser Murray’s doing well down south never got a chance at us

Days of any youngster getting a real chance at Hibs are long gone imo.
They all have to leave, go down a level and build themselves up imo.

Until the SFA/SPFL bring back a pathway we aren't the place.

Can't see how we can demand third place finishes and expect to see us promote youth players.
Not without them being a one off talent. Which usually finds it's way south before we even hear their name.
