Flying over to Edinburgh next week to see my mum, been a long time. Flying from Belfast as booked a while ago. Our Government here in the Republic only allowed us to leave the country in the last week.

I worked in Belfast years ago for a little while and had a great weekend also years ago with the NIHibs. Will have an hour or two in Belfast when I get off the train and head over to the Europa bus centre for the bus to the airport. Any suggestions for a decent pub close by? . Last time I was there the crown was good. Will be a long trip up from Wexford via Dublin but worth it.

The orange handshake, the walk, the rolled up trouser leg and bears bar are all worth a visit I’ve heard. 😃

I was in Belfast on St Paddy’s Day when the world changed.

It was like an alien planet anyway with all the Unionist stuff, but it was interesting being the only guests at the various attractions.
Filthy McNasty’s (seriously) was at least open for beers. Most pubs were closed.

Don’t think I’ll be back.

The Sunflower Bar on Union Street is worth a visit Kev. On Union St, about 15 mins walk from Europa bus centre. The Belfast Grogans perhaps
