Partick Thistle "Ghost Goal"

there is no way both of them could miss the ball crossing the line (goal line)?

even the other linesman should've been able to see it?

Watch the linesman..

He initially runs up the pitch as if it's a goal.. Referee is staring right at him, then he lifts his flag.
Dunno how they'll ever explain this one.. Should sack all 4 officials.

Anyone see this? Absolutely no idea what the officials were doing here, or what they thought they saw. Throw-in awarded! :102:

The throw is for the kick after the goal, linesman and ref randomly decided that's a clearance...
Can't believe any of them have decided that never crossed the line, it hit the bloody net!!

Horrible refereeing, up to the standards of everthing else Scottish officiating has offered this season though.

Yep, in some of these 'phantom goal' incidents from over the years you can sometimes see why the goal wasn't awarded. But not in this case!

There's absolutely nothing in that linesmans way, it nearly hit the back end of the net too. I'm not convinced the referee was looking and cause he never signalled the goal, the linesman bottled it.

2 players booked and a goal chalked off. I've just read that nobody has spoken to Thistle about the incident either, even though they've asked for an explanation.
Imagine they drew or lost 2-1.. Oooh I'd be raging, the ref's are lucky they won.

Imagine if PT were to be relegated on the basis of goal difference (or miss out on the league championship on goal difference - unlikely but not impossible)

To quote the huns, it beggars belief

Watch Partick Thistle's incredible 'ghost goal' against Morton

It hit the back of the bloody net for F sake. There was nobody offside during play and no fouls committed. The lino initially gave the goal as well. Partick should be demanding that the SFA/SPFL [whichever one controls these things] give them access to that referee so that he can publicly explain this mystifying decision. The games becoming a farce.

Ball hits back of net, thistle players celebrate, morton players all head towards centre circle bar 1, he actually picks the ball up in his hands and boots it, it goes out the park, ref gives a throw in:doh1::doh1::doh1:

We shouldn't be worrying our pretty little heads about stuff like this. These things happen.

Until they happen to the new firm.

Even then each NF player gets at least wan wee assault.

Most aspects of Scottish fitba, Old Firm institutionalised Sectarianism, a bowf Scottish media that loves it and thrives off it, ludicrously low standards of Match Officials, Self serving SFA Gravy Train gadgies and the other hopeless SPFL mob, the Magic Roundabout of perpetually employed dud Scottish Managers who will always find a job in Scotland or become an expert on Sportsound or the like, until they get back on that roundabout.
Thank fuck I have Hibs.
