The terracing at Tannadice opposite where we sit now always sticks in my memory as being the steepest terracing I've ever been on, really used to enjoy there. Also the Beach End at Pittodrie.

Not sure if enjoy is the word I'd use to describe my earliest memories of that terracing. As a fairly fragile wee 12 year old I pretty much shat myself when a goal went in and I found myself hurtling from the top to the bottom of the terracing in the space of about 3 seconds!!!

See these identikit Barr stadiums/stands we have nowadays, well gay. :sadwalk:

the boys picture with the subbuteo like creation of auld Easter Road is fucking barry.

That's on show in the West stand, you get to see it when you go on the tour.

Loads of barry stuff on the tour.

Glad to say I stood in many of them before they were sterilised, just, and really feel sorry for my kids... I'll make an effort to get them to some terracing somewhere before the end of the season....before it's gone forever!

I'm the same...I stopped going regularly to away games in the early 1990's, so my memories of the likes of Rugby Park, Tannadice and Fir Park are pretty much what they show in these photographs. ....and seeing Easter Road in all it's glory back in the day with that huge terracing just brings a lump to the throat. That was the ER of my childhood and teens. I am not opposed to all-seater stadia and the facilities for the fans who had been treated appallingly by clubs for years, are so much better (Easter Road is the best stadium in Scotland outside Parkhead and Ibrox). But something dear has been lost in Scottish football with the death of the old traditional terracings and the atmosphere, laughs and banter with your fellow fans that would bring.
