I think they will eat into labours city voters if any elections were to happen soon. The Tory voters will head to the libdems and what used to be called the working class will head to reform.

They may get a bump in Scotland with the second vote but after their showing when in government with the SNP I think a lot of folk will avoid them.

Still IF the breast whisperer gets too popular expect some nice juicy stories to emerge from his past.

I was quite impressed with him during this interview on The News Agents too. Whatever you make of his policies he was articulate and honest throughout. It made me think this might not be a flash in the pan.

I think he's a wrong 'un. Something about him gives me the ick. He also said openly he thinks women can have dicks, but he knows that's a lie and is just pandering to a particular demographic.

Green party is a different beast up here
 
I'm not as cynical as some here about politicians, but I must admit my heart sank reading a profile of 'exciting' new candidates from one party for the Scottish Parliament elections. Only one of that had any experience of employment outside the party machine. And that's likely to be the case for most of the other parties too. Quite dispiriting.

Yep and I've already said the SNP embraced the bonkers green party ideas.

So yes it was the Scottish government embracing a policy for political needs.

Well they don't need to be in government to work together. The Greens and the SNP united to block a Scottish inquiry into grooming gangs.
 
I'm not at all sure of him either but I would say he's a good communicator, and is taking some decent positions (Israel/Palestine, inequality) that sees him and his party up to 15% in the polls (from 6% last year) and with a membership now larger than the conservative party.

I've just had a Scottish Greens leaflet through the door. Utterly dismal. Tax the rich is the headline, with no detail about what that means. A sit on the fence piece on trams extension (pro, but some vague waffle as a non-commital reference to the Roseburn Path). A large piece on rights for food delivery drivers and bits on their candidates. It could not be less arresting.

Delivery drivers are likely the only working class people the average green voter ever meets Arch, which possibly explains the emphasis
