Seriously, what the actual F***?

Now that I think about it, maybe he was always a muppet.

Anyone?

My missus quite liked him when he was Rocky.

He was quite good in Men Behaving Badly, and decent in Line of Duty, although I couldn't see what the fuss was all about in his Bob The Builder era.

Not so sure..at his last gig at the Hydro he spoke of his disappointment at the outcome of the indy referendum?

think you are right

Morrissey jibe at Nicola Sturgeon met with boos at Scottish gig - The Scotsman

On Scottish independence

Morrissey may have criticised Sturgeon in Glasgow, but in 2014 he seemed to support independence. Asked whether the Scots should vote yes, he said: "They must cut ties with the United King-dumb. I love Scotland, and I love the Scottish spirit and they do not need Westminster in the least."

He said what? Morrissey’s most controversial opinions | HeraldScotland

still a dick

I've been a fan all my life but over the last year I've just given up.

There was a light but it's definitely gone out.

What's he done?

Released an interview that reads like an alt-right Twitter feed.Highlights include:

Hitler was left wing
Only "non-whites" commit acid attacks
Halal meat can only be produced by supporters of ISIS
Support for Anne Marie Waters "For Britain" Party,
Implying Sadiq Kahn is unfit to be London mayor because of his accent
Kosher food should be banned

that first one has me nostalgic THB - anyone seen EGB and Morrissey in the same digital space? no? hmmmm :giggle:

:giggle:
egb_hibs - ye cannae let him get away with that! SLANDER!

Didn't Eeeg promulgate a theory that Hitler was left wing because the further right you go you have to make it to the left [or somthing].

Nah, it was more 'everything i hate is left wing, and i hate hitler, therefore hitler is left wing'

His music is shit, always has been and he's a grade of fruitloop.

Well the establishment seems to dislike the geezer so he must be doing something right.

I don't particularly dislike him, I just think his musical output is wrist-slitting stuff and anyone who thinks having a branch sticking out of his back pocket is a good look is, again IMO, a fruitloop.

He certainly does.

Yet although the establishment music journos try to cancel the geezer his fan base remains very loyal.

And this was what Nick Cave said about Mozzer on The Red Hand Files......

Cave said that the two of them had never met, “which is probably why I like him. He is undeniably a complex and divisive figure, someone who takes more than a little pleasure in pissing people off. As enjoyable as some may find this, it holds little interest for me, but for the fact that Morrissey is probably the best lyricist of his generation – certainly the strangest, funniest, most sophisticated, and most subtle.”

Aye Morrissey should have been more like the er 'anti establishment' dafties of chumbawumba who's tune gets played at American football games.

How radical is THAT 😁

Clash tunes used to be used to torture US prisoners .I don't think they had much say in the matter.

Would they not have had to release the rights to the songs?

I know Nick Cave stated that none of his songs would ever be used in an advert.

Good songwriter but a bit of a tool.

I'd say he's spot on.

I know that all the sleeves of The Smiths songs were done or approved by Morrissey.

Going to be interesting what comes from this though.
