But.. maybe we've got a first 11 that are actually very decent if the shackles come off!

I think the hibs support are ready and willing to give him the windaes he needs.

It’s also a massive “fuck off” to those of us on here and elsewhere in the Hibs support whose “ next seasons” are getting fewer.

We also can’t be writing off the remaining games before the January window. There’s just too many. Need at least ~3 wins before then. Reedyk needs to find a way to win games. Waiting to “get his own guys in” will see us rooted to the bottom of the table come January with a massive job on our hands.

Having a very talented squad but underachieving big time and not being able to get the best out of the players and playing drab practical football was one of the constant themes behind the sacking of SDG but its a theory with which I profoundly disagree.

3rd and 5th in the SPL league campaign is a very impressive return and over 76 games there is no luck involved so I thought SDG was easily one of the best Hibs managers of the last 10 years since Lennon.

He correctly identified just as Jack Ross had that if you play the %'s , make yourself hard to beat, keep your shape, use your subs religiously and are strong physically then this is one way to get yourself to being the "best of the rest" in Scottish football.️

Its all short-term though just as Motherwells alternative exciting alternative theory has imploded because both team constructions depends on players and once you lose the players either through transfers or age and replace them with dross then there is no way back.

Over the last 18 months SDG and Mr Nasty have made far to many mistakes in player recruitment and the SDG sacking was therefore correct as the direction of travel was all wrong and the recruitment legacy is a very ordinary team veering towards downright poor with serious weaknesses all over the pitch that have already struggled against Kilmarnock, Dundee Utd and Falkirk.

The Professor is full of interesting ideas and theorys but I dont see an under achieving team, instead I see a complete mess and a declining budget as "the laddie" changes direction and this season might become a battle against relegation as there isn't a doomed from the start Livingston around to cushion the numbers.
