Wigan bound.

Wonder if we save any money on him now and if he will fancy any of out players?

Hibs will have been paying Maloney's some/all wages since his sacking until he got another job. So that's more money being saved. It would have been the same with Jack Ross till he got the Dundee United job.

Good luck to Shaun with the Wigan managers job. Hope gets better support than he got at Hibs.

I'm sure I read somewhere (credible) that he had something like 3 or 6 months severance written into his contract.

Edit. It goes back to when Appleton was up for the job. He apparently refused because Hibs wanted to impose a 4 month severance clause.

Yep.
I think Hibs have a 3 month term.
Of course, it may have been changed along with the bumper wages we offer to average talent.

Yeah, I'm sure I read he was demanding a years wages if sacked. Some confidence in his own ability!

I posted elsewhere. He hasn’t said it publicly and it is 3rd hand info so not definite. A best friend of a first teamer known to blab stayed it.
There were so many mental stories last week it was hard to keep up..
He's contracted to Hibs next season so unless he decides to retire I think he will remain with us.

Looks like thus far he's only interested in Nisbet [nae chance] Campbell [probably nae chance] and Henderson [I'll help him pack].

A 0-0 draw with one shot on target in his debut

Wigan manager Shaun Maloney:

"We were a bit lucky at the end [with the penalty] but I think we earned the draw with the work-rate. We know we have to show more of that, stop conceding and become harder to beat."

Poor sods.... they've no idea what's coming.
