I think anyone playing up top for Scotland has a hard task and thought he did pretty well at leading the line (when fit) all considered. Would be delighted to see him turn out for us; he’d be an absolute menace for defenders in the SPL, as others have suggested.

I met a guy on Thursday night watching the game and he said Lyndon Dykes. Maybe there is something in it. I thought there was no chance but him and Bowie and Boyle in a 3 that would be a handful. Get some steel in the middle and we would be a tough side.

It would appear opinions split on Hanley and Dykes . Time will tell though re - Grant and Drystain ( if it happens ) may well work

Clearly Birmingham wanted him to go on a permanent deal.
That meant the end of any prospect of him coming to Hibs.

From the time that the loan deal fell through at the last minute in the summer, there was very little chance of Dykes moving to Hibs.
Last summer, Birmingham would have wanted a club to pay a high percentage of his wages, and back then that club would have been Preston North End, but Dykes wanted to come to Hibs.

Three parties have to be satisfied with the terms of a loan deal, so it collapsed.
Pity, he would have been a great addition to the squad.
We still need someone similar in style this month.
