Lou Reed dead

Fuck sake man, loved Lou reed.
Grew up with getting melted to him, amongst others.

RIP Lou

Never forget hearing What Goes On for the first time in my flat on Rose St circa 1993, oot ma tits on acid. The beginning of an enduring love affair with the Velvet Underground.

RIP

One of the first songs I learned on the guitar was one of his. Loved & still do love Transformer. Classic album.

Nice. Oddly, over the past 6 months I've rediscovered that album and have been playing it to the kids. I possibly enjoyed it more than them...

Saw him in Belfast on his Ecstasy tour & was in awe for the duration. As a teenager who'd just got into his music in the late-nineties, never thought I'd have that opportunity.

Class act from start to finish. RIP Lou.

A bit late for this, just found out on the one show,so sad,the velvet underground were one of those seminal bands that made such an impression on my musical tastes, listening to Walk On the Wildside was one of those right of passage moments for me as a youngster.Only as a twenty something did its real significance hit home as it dawned on me that I was indeed Gay or at least Bisexual and that this song may have had some barrings on my outlook.
Anyway RIP Lou.:applause:
