This is something I hear quite often in one of the offices I visit in Glasgow on my we run through there on a Tuesday. It goes on to say;
"The lift alarm has been activated" a few times followed by "do do do do do do do do do do" as it makes a phone call, presumably to lift central. What it says next is less reassuring "There is insufficient credit to make this call"
It then goes though the whole thing again!
The look on some of the punters faces is brilliant, well the ones that understand English! There's a lot of foreign folk use that office complex.
