With the failure of the dams to hold in Libya causing up to 20 thousand deaths and whole neighbourhoods destroyed, many so called experts are pointing to the failure to maintain these dams.
Libya is a bit of a mess with two different ruling parties in East and West in opposition to each other. Yet not so long ago Libya was thriving as an oil rich nation. However unlike Saudi and UAE who towed the line and buy and sell in dollar, Gadaffi wanted to sell in his own Libyan currency. This is said to have turned the wrath of the USA on them and their oil rigs and infrastructure was taken out by American missiles on a pretext for hitting militants. Actually Gadaffi had pretty much got rid of Islamic militants, had instilled education and health services. And while they may not have been as advanced as the West they were a huge improvement on what had gone before.

Gadaffi wanted to extend his countries success to other Middle east/African nations. Now the country is a mess while other places like Dubai are throwing money around like Trump on lawyers.

There are a few useful sites on YouTube for background and articles online but I will leave uou to turn to the ones you trust but I did see a good report on a geographical site. But the release or leak of emails from Hilary Clinton seem to confirm the war was about oil.

I have largely backed our own governments as I like to try and give the benefit of the doubt. But I do find this whole thing strange and then of course there was the false nuclear claims surrounding Iraq, a country USA had previously backed in the Iraq/Iran war. A bit like USA also backed the Taliban until they realised their error.

I guess USA are always going to want to shape the world the way they want it to be and sometimes they are actually the good guys. I am certainly no conspiracy theoriist but I do wonder how much the world could be a nicer place if they stopped meddling in every countries issues, as all we see is a trail of destruction and refugees

Can't they not learn stepping in to try and sort every issue with a gun will only lead to more bloodshed? True I back Ukraine against an aggressor country but I do wonder how much we cause problems for ourself following USA like lambs

I'd like though to hear from people who are better read on this subject.
