Good move for all parties
I’m sad to see him go particularly as he was local to my area.
Got to know his dad fairly well over past year or so .
Lewis got Hibs and so do his family .
Was so grateful at how the club treated him and the family with special mention of Tracey Smith
Obviously he has ambitions to play at highest level he can and Blackburn have a chance to get to EPL -as do 12 other clubs in that league
Hope he gets game time as he need it for WC place
Made no bones about that when I spoke to him
Looks like he’s leaving with mostly positive thoughts from majority of Hibees so that’ll please him.
Looking through the Blackburn SM pages one of the things that excites many of their fans is his long throw ability - and they call Scottish fitba ‘industrial ‘
Got nice message from his dad lamenting his inferior location for Hogmanay celebrations this year but basically saying ‘once a Hibee always a Hibee ‘

I posted on here recently that I had heard from quite a good source that Miller has been itching to get away from Hibs for months.
He was not happy at all that Hibs were planning to invoke the one year extension.
Like most players, he wanted to play in English football, and now he has his move and Hibs are £1 million up on the deal.
I liked him as a player, but as soon as any player makes it clear he doesn't want to play for Hibs any more, then get rid ASAP to the highest bidder.

Ah I was forgetting that it was down to hibs to extend, not Lewis who I was praising , oh well, still thought he done a good job when he was here .👍

Hibs had the option to extend..that was part of his original contract with Hibs and which him and his agent would have agreed to.
Not sure then what his beef was with the club invoking that clause, but I was told he was not best pleased and made it clear he wanted to move.
Anyway, both parties now move on.

I'd imagine he probably wanted a new contract instead of an extension.
Instead of understanding the extension was a stop gap til we went to the table he chose to leave.

It's fair, we take the money and move on.

Yip canny be arsed with people who want to renage on contracts when the other party doesn’t, may have been his AGENT though assole 🤣😡

It's his own fault for not employing you as his agent because you know how to do percentages and stuff.

The contract had a clause in it allowing Hibs to invoke a year extension, his agent wouldn't be trying to renege on that Joe.

He’s obviously been sold on Blackburn and assured of getting game time which he need a to play in WC

Sure a huge wage rise would have helped sway him but
he was not desperate to leave - think only frustration was not being offered a new longer contract
Him and his family have nothing but praise for Hibs and they way they’ve been treated
He was defo injured as well despite rumours to contrary
Day after he signed was first time he was able to train full contact since RWE game
One of his dad’s neighbours is from Burnley - move hasn’t gone down well with him .

Don't know why people still think he was pushing for a move when you've told us before he wasn't! Only thing that surprises me is that he wasn't offered a longer contract because he's really good

No reason to doubt his sources of Lewis getting pissed off.
Maybe my view on the local boy is a bit myopically positive due to my interactions with the family -they’re hardly likely to badmouth Hibs to me but genuinely think he’s loved his tine at Hibs and we only going to move for sometime clearly more lucrative

I watched his interview with Blackburn Rovers TV. You get why it's maybe difficult to get a Triantis to come permanently. He wasn't directly disrespectful to Hibs but I felt took no real opportunity to talk Hibs or Scottish football up. To get across he's good enough for Blackburn he more talked up his international appearances. Seems the Aussies think English football is the absolute ultimate destination.

You’re right about the Aussies and their focus on English football even though very few actually make a career there nowadays
Lots of the Aussie media comparing him to other Aus. RBs who excelled at Blackburn - Lucas Neill and Brett Emerton .

I thought the same. He didn’t really mention Hibs much but who knows, maybe nervous and a lot going on. These interviews aren’t for everyone. Would have been nice for him to thank the club. I’ve not seen his Instagram post though that @Sproule Three mentioned.
 
Not asking him to have Hibs Forever tattooed on his forehead. Just a wee line to say I had a great couple of years at Hibs and this is the next step. Heard plenty players say that after they’ve moved on.

he gave his all for the jersey at hibs IMO ,so no bothered about him thanking hibs for everything, he’s at blakburn now and hibs are £1m plus better of , we move on ➡️
