Labour

Maybe something like that is needed Smurf a wee taste of bonkers politics that the greens and some Labour politicos yearn for.

Then when the Muslim block turn on the greens dafties it will be most entertaining.

It's too important to be a laughing matter.

Maybe the politicians and the political party's should show a bit more importance then Archie rather than bowing to whichever way the wind is blowing.

Is that different from following the will of the people?
Can’t have it both ways, or maybe you can’t have it either way.

The will of the people is when they vote for the party who they think will best represent their outlook on life.

Which way the wind blows was shown by Burnham regarding the EU.

Folk in Makerfield one thing. Folk at the party conference was a different version.

So which one is it Andy? He probably won't post an answer though to be fair.

No but I will. He clearly wants a closer relationship with Europe. He said he respects the Brexit vote. So any approach would be in the manifesto for the next election. Which people will vote on. What is wrong with that?

I just have a wee sneaking suspicion that any choice Burnham goes down will be made AFTER the next election.

Get re elected but see how many seats labour lose in the areas that voted leave.

Does it pass the 'Makerfield test' he was always banging on about?

Decent win for Labour yesterday in the Holborn and St Pancras by-election.

The greens second place must put Zack Polanski's position as leader on a shoogly peg. Not helped by a disastrous annual conference causing fractures throughout the party.

First time the torys have beaten reform Ltd in this parliamentary term, third and fourth. It could be suggested restore split the far right vote to deny reform Ltd that third place.

Galloway, George (Workers Party) 1% of vote, lost his deposit 😆

Other parties were involved and a full list is available. Do your own research if it's that important!

Haven’t seen her say much (if anything?) on the Middle East. She avoided the hustings that a pro Palestine group organised but was at the Pro Israeli one where Zack got humiliated at. Also refused to say much on ME when she was confronted in a video Owen jones reposted the other day. Think that’s why a lot of the left don’t like her.

Seems like her main thing homelessness and housing so looking forward to seeing what happens given that aligns with Burnham rhetoric.

Oh fuck a bloody refugee. Cannae sit well @BounceGangsters.
Dry yet eyes out mates.

Abdi-Wali, 42, who came to the UK from Somalia as a child refugee with her family in the 1990s, grew up in Camden, where she became a councillor in 2022.

She was elected as leader of the local authority in May, and has been chosen by Labour members to contest the north London seat vacated by Keir Starmer.

The candidate said she was "delighted that local members have put their trust in me to be Labour's candidate in the area I've grown up in".

She has also worked as a volunteer and trustee for local charities in the borough, as well as the governor of two schools,

Reform did well, behind the Tories. Splendid!

Galatians 6.7 . However I don't give a grain of Lot's wife Genesis 19:15–26, as the good book says, in what the @BounceGangsyers say by innuendo pal, as per the original post above. My well known criticism of Burnhams Labour is on a political level and not populist tropes about ethnicity. I'll leave that to Suella Braverman, who does it better.

Is it just me, or are these results just depressing as fuck. Labour are shite, the greens are mental, the tories played a major major part in the shite we find ourselves in. Reform are tories .2 and run by a frog faced grifter. How long has UK politics been a feckin race to the bottom :g:
