Kes is for me one of my all time great films.A film that for me had me both laughing and crying in equal measure. The football scene with the gym teacher is something which will be imprinted on my memory forever. The reason why I am mentioning it is that it is coming to the stage soon.I can't really see how they could recreate it on stage but if it can be done with quadrophenia it can be done with anything.I for one can't wait to get tickets.:applause:

'Hands off cocks, on with socks!' is a line that for some reason still makes me laugh.

i was taken to see this film on a school trip loved it then and still do

got it on dvd and although a bit dated still a brilliant story
if you havnt seen it then go out and get you wont regret it

I presume they are going to have a live kestrel on stage-that should be unusual.:coffee:

One of my favourite films. It is forty years old but I don't think it's as dated as most films of those times. I don't see it being that difficult to recreate on stage - provided the don't have birds of prey flying about the theatre (which I very much doubt they will). The public's imagination has to work harder in theatre than cinema but the great dialogue will do a lot of the work.

i've always found it really sad

you just feel him,his family and his mates have no hope and their lives are going nowhere

I must admit tho' the Reeves and Mortimer sketch is really funny.:rollfloor
