This season, if there isn't a just back we'll do something else.
So rather than a fans view, or a fans view from the telly here's what's been reported on the game today:
Hibs Manager David Gray:
“Rangers put us under severe pressure for the second half, the character was really tested but we made an attacking substitution to try and have that mentality of not just sitting in even with the Rangers pressure.”
“[The winning goal] was a brilliant moment. I'm delighted for the players because we made a lot of changes and the players that came in did really well, it builds that character.”
“The type of game suits Josh Mulligan. To a man I think it would be difficult to single anyone out because they were all so good.”
“I've been through adversity at the start. The demands and expectations are always going to be there. The biggest thing is sticking together as a group. Internally we know we're in a good place, there's more to come.”
“I've always tried to challenge the group to recreate our own history... it's because it's never been done before. It shows you how good an achievement it is, how difficult a place this is to come, but also the quality we've got within the group.”
“The belief was in there for the players and they should be really pleased with that and I'm delighted for them because they deserve it.”
Rangers Manager Derek McInnes:
“We were guilty of passing up opportunities in the first half and not playing forward enough.”
“I've seen it back, I don't think it's a penalty but we have a lot of the game to try and rectify that. I thought it was very soft and surprised the referee is brought over for it.”
“When the ball did go into our strikers we were far more effective and I felt the equaliser was deserved and we wanted to win the game. I can't fault my players' effort.”
“I understand the fan frustration, they want and expect to see their team win. I share the frustration.”

Rangers huffed and puffed and will count themselves unlucky to leave with nothing, but they also did not have enough of a cutting edge - or the requisite amount of genuine quality - to give the fans what they wanted: a home win and the first victory of the McInnes era.
Hibs will feel this was a merited win, even though they did not overly trouble the Rangers defence.
Given the opportunity to get their noses in front by the video assistant referee, they defended like their lives depended on it, particularly in the second half when Rangers threw the kitchen sink at them.
A brave, solid defensive display and a ruthlessness in front of goal got Hibs all three points.
Two chances, two goals, one from the penalty spot. If Hibs show this determination all season, they will be absolutely fine.

"It wasn't a perfect Hibs performance; there were still issues that need to be worked on, but it was exactly the type of performance needed for this type of game in terms of workrate.
Hibs got an escape route on Thursday night, and they got another one today. They might not be so fortunate again on Thursday, but this result and performance will give them huge confidence going into a tough test in North Macedonia."
