i watched both captains today a wee bit more closely than i normally would. no particular reason why, i suppose i wanted to see how the dealt the positions they are put in. not really the game performance more of how they helped and instructed the team.

Ferguson, he encouraged the rangers players, clapped them, reminded them of their positions and made his team mates very aware who was in charge,

jones done none of that he just let the game take its course and didnt really act diffrent from any other player, maybe it was a contrast in styles. i dont know but what i do know i would like to see someone who is a bit more encouraging and vocal as our club captain.

I agree Jones was a non existant captain for our club today and if he continues to be like that then he can sling his hook and we will let somebody else take control on the field of play.

His play is very inconsistant anyway so would no major loss to the club.

I dont think he is captain material (unless the definition of a Hibs captain is 'get in the shop windows and fek off as quickly as possible').

Would rather someone more vocal is made captain......like..errr......bugger.

He is not a bd defender...just not a motivator

maybe he should take a lesson from hogg who was a total inspiration to those around him in the aberdeen match, when he was deputising as captain.
giving away foul after foul on the edge of his own box, almost needlessly conceding a penalty, and leaving a young inexperienced full back playing alongside him to pick up their centre forward.

He was supposed to be a P.E teacher before he played professional football I cant really think of another job where motivation is so fundamental to the work. Why he cant do this on a pitch with i'll never know

ferguson is a international player and the captain so you expect him to do a better job than rob jones .

totally agree

i also noticed the difference between ferguson and kerr yesterday

Anyone notice Rob Jones going to shake the hand of Steven Naismith at the end of the game yesterday?

Hun Prick.

There was absolutely no leadership in the Hibs team yesterday. The only player who looked like he was interested for a large part of the second half was Deano. What would I give for a Brewster or a Mixu type player just now??? :banger:
