For some time I have been meaning to try out this place.It is near to chez Moat and I am passing it all the time when I'm going to the corner shop or I am on my way home.So yesterday it was my birthday so my family and I decided to try it out for some scran.
We weren't dissapointed! It was one of the best curries I've had in some time.I had a Lamb Dhakori(or something I'm not an expert) and the rest of my family had differant dishes with some side dishes.My Mum LDRPhibby and my nephew had sweets also and we had some drinks.The staff were extremely pleasant and we just had a great time.
The restuarant is in Moat Place(it used to be the Moat Bar.)i.e. Slateford Rd(just opposite Jewson's Timber and what was Matalan).Ok it's in enemy territory,but I shouldn't let that worry you as I have survived living out there since 1995.You can get there by a 35 bus and I think a 44.
The food was reasonably priced coming to £140 quid for 5 people.I am giving it a shout out, because it is close to me and because it is quite quiet which it doesn't deserve because there are other curry houses out there which are far more popular where the food isn't as good.GO!

stadium sponsor at the Saviledome and not st ER so they can bolt. Perhaps understandable due to location but I won't pay towards that.

No doubt they will be part of the budge begging bowl ideas published last night where the one off fee gets you a discount at their restaurant and other savile sympathisers

Been once. Was decent, can see past their sponsorship of the scumbos if they do a good lamb dopiaza.

Strange because I also pass it every day for years and finally decided to give it a try last week with a mate. Do reccomend it, not the cheapest but pretty standard for resturants. Good service, very clean and airy. Would make a good lounge bar actually

Thanks for posting it moaty - I pass it a lot and now intend to try it.
They are in a hearts area and are hearts supporters - so feckin what;
They are integrating with the local community : a good thing (though not as good as if they'd supported Hibs, natch)

It's my brother's local curry house. Have eaten there several times and can highly recommend it.
