Iran

These discussions with the US that have been ongoing weren’t going and were seen as a potential failure. What hasn’t helped is this recent collaborative strike with the Israel who as no surprise have taken great pleasure in doing so. That’s the two Countries Iran detests the most now squared up against them………the Russians and Koreans are allies of them too. We can wait for the usual ripple this is going to have.

Haud on its the Iranians striking Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Saudi, which makes more sense
🤦‍♂️

And which is also a wee reminder why the only thing preventing a regional nuclear arms race is American / Israeli guarantees that Iran will not get the bomb.

And what if they hit where Billy resides?

Eh what would happen when no more jokes were forthcoming?

This is going to be a mess. Even SKY military commentators are baffled as to what the game plan is here. Relying on unarmed civilians to "rise up" and for IRGC to lay down their arms ...to whom? No US or Israeli boots on the ground so who do they lay down their arms to? Ill thought through mess. Only certainty is lots and lots of civilians are going to die.

But this is signed off and supported by the President of Peace. And theres now a Board of Peace. Granted, this doesn't feel like peace but it must be..

Or maybe like anyone with a kernel of a brain has looked at the outcome of similar actions in Iraq and Libya which rather relurn to 'democracy' in their image resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths, sectarian slaughter, and in the case of Iraq, the rise of Isis. I've already heard two ex US and UK Generals coming to the same conclusion. One of them saying that he would like to be pointed out by anyone where this has been successful. I've got his number here @Smurf if you want to give him a bell.

Agree with that. Past events should have been looked at where the west destabilised countries and then carnage happened.

Regime change is meant to be illegal. I would think millions of Iranians would like to throw the Iranian government out.

But it really should be them uprising. Yep it's hard going watching the state terrorise civilians but it's not our call.

Tbf they tried uprising and got killed in their tens of thousands. Agree with the sentiments from you and G though. I think there is more hope for Iran than the Arab countries but also the potential for another epic mess.
