Great interview by Luke Shanley.

Interesting the manager effectively says he doesn’t have final say on transfers.

Wanted to bring more of his own backroom staff … Malky brought in his mate who failed working with kids at the SFA

No surprise. It's The Malky Mackay Show.

Not listened to it but sounds a bit concerning, almost as if he is getting his excuses in early.

I've not listened to the interview yet, however i'm dubious about the claim that Reedijk doesn't get the final say on transfers.
If that is true then he was off his nut taking the Hibs managers job.
In an industry where results determine your continued employment, any manager who doesn't have the final say on transfers
is basically digging his own grave.

I would have preferred if he had been able to bring more of his staff as well, but again, he still took the job knowing the situation.
Over the last year or so I questioned whether the working relationship between McKay and Gray was having a damaging affect on things.
Having a DOF who is a former manager himself at quite a high level is pretty unique to be honest.
McKay is in fact everyone's boss. Only the CEO and owner will be above him.

Without knowing the facts at what goes on at Hibs i'm loathed to pass comment because I don't go in much for social media gossip, i'm only interested in Hibs results.
If having a bad situation behind the scenes is having an affect on morale at the club and therefore results on the park, then it's up to the Gordons to sort it out.

The manager said these words . It’s not social media gossip.

Mackay reports to lan Gordon , as does the CEO. CEO has nothing to do with the football side of things

He was also pushed on it in an interview before the game on sky on sunday - asked who decided re signings, he said that he and the dof had input re signings, and then was asked if he had final say, said no it was a joint decision.

Manager/coach gets the final say.
Take him or leave him.

It’s like being married for fuck sake.

You accept one of the options or..,,,..
