Looks like that wee chat a month ago is right and the papers yesterday were full of shte linking him on loan to such and such.

Paying off the rest of his contract. :hmmm

I would welcome Ian Murray back right now as i have no doubt he would give us everything he had in his tank unlike a certain midfielder who is cruising till he knows where his next move is going to take him!

You make a very good point:applause:

If this is true, why is he coming back to Hibs? Of all the clubs in the UK, why go back to the team you shafted for a transfer fee?

Aren't there ANY other clubs in for him? And if not, why not? Is that not an important question?

I seriously just don't get it :dunno:

Was he not one of the gamblers as well :hmmm

I don't care that he shafted us. I don't care that he went to the Huns. I don't care that he stuck up his two fingers at us after we hammered his then employers 3-0...

I don't even really care that he's still a BIG Hibby cause i've seen him at a good few games since he left..

What i do care about is that he is IMO a very good player with a lot to prove at a relatively young age.

My concern relates to his fitness and the total number of games he's played in the past 5 years...:dunno:

Ian Murray would probably be to expensive, cue the second or third division midfielder from France or Norway boys.

My only concern too, Kenny. No doubting his ability or his commitment. Throw in his versatility and experience and you probably have the kind of player JC would be looking to sign. I'd welcome him back but would hope he doesn't spend a season on the treatment table.

As would I, back, front, anyway he wanted infact ?/em !! hope its true but I won't get my hopes up until its a done deal !

And how many positions can you think of to play him in :dub1::wink:

:rollfloor loving the smiley !!

God I could think of several positions that would take him oh at least an hour if he is a typical hibee :giggle: kidding of course

Heard he was going to the Bairns a wee while back. Confirmed that Yogi is "interested " in todays retard. Oh well there goes the funding for the third stand if true :sadwalk::sadwalk:

Wouldn't you like to think he could last the full 90 minutes without picking up an injury? :giggle:

According to the Metro, his agent has been quoted as saying that Falkirk are going to make a move for him on loan in January :coffee:

Ask yourself this..

Would you take Thomson back if you could?

People seem to hate him more than Murray when Murray left us with nothing and KT got us 2 mill.

?

I'd take neither back. Time to move on not back

I thought he had some degenerative arthritic knee or hip that was going to cut his playing career:dunno:.

These two papers dinny half pick up 'their' stories from other papers a day late or two.

LP I think because the case now that it isn't a loan deal situation might be behind the news I have. Not a complete done deal yet for Falkirk or one or two others to be brushed aside.

today's evening news say he's falkirk bound on loan, as he can't get a game in england, why the ffffdo rankgers take players then dont play them? same at parasite with riordan and killen,

Glad somebody agreed.

He jumped at leaving us for "better things"

Ok. I love Hibs. Feckin hate the Huns.

However, if i was a professional footballer and i was playing for Hibs on 1400 a week and the Huns came in offering 8000 a week can i just say i'd be off right through to play for the Huns.

IMO very few could deny they wouldn't do exactly the same.

Yes he has reactive arthritis or something dont he? Hmm i'd take him back, however i dont think we'll get him.

Easy one this. How many goals are Deek and Killen scoring for rival teams to Celtic in the SPL at the moment?

If you wouldnt crawl along the M8 [figuratively not literally you understand Smurf] for 8k per week you would need your head examined. Like everyone else I hate the fact that players go west when the clarion call comes but tbf who in their right mind would turn down that kind of dough. Even a 2 year deal like Killens is worth just under a million quid, he and any one else would be bonkers to turn that sort of money down especially when its mostly young players they take from us and careers can be resurrected after a couple of years.

nail on head from celtcs perspective dude.

Exactly. Before we should knock these players we should ask ourselves 'If i was offered 6 times what i was earning would i turn it down?'.

Some may well be 'Living the dream' of playing for the club they support but ultimately they are professionals.

However, it's the way they conduct the deal that counts. IMO Kevin Thomson engineered his move as our club captain in a quite disgusting fashion. I no longer like the wee so and so and have no respect for him.

However, KT the footballer back at Hibs? Feckin yes please.

a good versatile experienced player I'd welcome his return to ER as long as his illness / injuries have cleared up.

The main problem most people had with Murray's move to Hunbrox was the way he conducted himself in the build-up to it. I totally agree with the wages statement. How many people on the Bounce would turn down quadruple the wages they were currently getting paid to do the exact same job elsewhere? Throw in a brand new car and most people probably couldn't get the contract signed quick enough. Put yourself in the players position before you jump to a knee-jerk reaction with Judas-this and Judas-that. It's not as if playing for the Huns has made him any less of a Hibs supporter, has it? From what I've heard, he still attends the occasional game, as does Derek Riordan.

My problem with Ihun is not that he left Hibs, but that he probably isn't really very good any more. I can't understand the logic behind turning away a player because he left Hibs, if he was a good player. In Ihun's case I understand it completely. :coffee:

I'd take the wee Judas back, he was a good player last time round and we're struggling like fuck the now.

Remind me again on how he conducted himself? Unlike the last 2 club captains he never dissed the club in public or try to engineer a move through the press (Thompson) never confirmed he'd signed a pre- season ( Caldwell) Played as well as he could up until the time he left IMO. Feck I remember him at Livingston away sitting in the stands with the rest of the HIbs support, rather than in the 'posh' seats with the other players not involved. As I understand it he took the only offer available to him that was going to generate a decent income for him. Just happened to be the Huns

Great balanced view on this. Ive seen IM at ER twice since he left ER. Take him back in a flash as hes versatile and a decent passer. Fitness proved of course. Im sure hed be delighted to come back, but wages RP.....?

On the Hibs.

Agreed.

IIRC his last appearance for us was v The Huns on the day they won the SPL at ER.

IIRC Murray played left back that day when it was pretty much known he was off to join The Huns.

That day when we had not yet qualified for Europe he got well wired in. He gave 110% to the cause of Hibernian.
