According to some reports, hotels are slashing prices because of less than expected interested due to world events. Don't know truth, but perhaps waiting is prudent

There's plenty of tickets available.

But youll be struggling to pay less than a grand for a $40 ticket though.
According to FIFA 3 million tix have been sold. A percentage will be people trying to profiteer. As you say plenty left at unreasonable prices.

But given how many have been sold there is not many % wise left.

Total combined capacity of all games in the tournament is 7.2 million 😳
Obviously a huge percentage of that is comps and a lot of the later stages games can't be sold yet cause we dunno who goes through.
I'd probably agree there's not many tickets unsold so far.

Staggering numbers.

It will he an utter shambles. Best thing to do if your going is go to the fan zones. The one in toronto is a huge area so should be no issues there. Bostons is outside the govt building where they filmed some scenes for the movie the departed. Looks amazing from pics of when it was used before. The cost of a ticket and getting to and from the games is farcical.

That’s our plan. We will head into Boston centre fairly early both days and head to the fanzone - says it is free.

The way things are panning out nothing seems reasonably priced. Once in the fan zones it wouldn't surprise me if it was 10 - 20 dollars for a watered doon beer
Doubt it will be like that in toronto. Maybe hydro prices. Was £5.50 a pint of excellent local lager at the railway museum bar where the baseball fans go before games when i was there last year. The nba bar in comparison was a fiver for a half pint but was heaven if you were a basketball fan.

Boston isnt a dear place overall but who knows what the cost of beer will be. Depends whose running the fan zone. Its was a very punter friendly place when i was there. One of my fav places ever.
