I would be bit happier if it decreed that , if theres a cycle path, cyclists MUST utilise it.
Theres a few 'cyclists' here who are on the road .....where there is a cycle path parallel.....
Does my nut in. A line of cars behind a bike.

The HC doesn't apply to all cyclists.

It won't stop the bad ones, of which there are far too many, from cycling on the pavement, ignoring road signs and traffic lights and anything else that doesn't take their fancy. And the police will do hee haw about it when it should be nee naw nee naw!
 
Thought I saw the new rules recommending that if possible cyclists should cycle two abreast? .Don't fancy that myself as I'm not the fastest of cyclists. Think cyclists have to get priority if you turn left?. Must say I get the fear every time I'm heading towards Fountain Park and cars are slipping onto the Approach Road. Even though there's a dedicated cycle lane I often get cut up by cars there. Also not keen on going round Torphican Street Lane if I'm going round into Morrison St and want to turn left in Dalry.You've to get from a middle of the road cycle lane over to the left,meanwhile traffic is going round you on the left side.Hate it.

There was a wooden mustang I think, but I'm no expert.
It's all Greek to me...
 
For all cyclists drive me up the wall I get more annoyed at motorists who cannot decide how to take a corner on a 2 lane junction (such as coming on to Princes St from Lothian Road) Or coming into a roundabout on one lane before deciding to cut across the front of another car because they cant make up what lane they want! That and the nutters who fearing a ticket on a bus lane outside the enforced times take to the right only to cut across me on the inside, because they don't realise people can actually use these lanes for the largest part of the day :grrr:
